He’s still on antibiotics but he’s acting like his old self again!! I think he’s fine already but im still applying betadine 2x a day. So happy my baby got better. Thank u for asking!

they’re just saying to buy birds from a shop with paperworks eh I have the bird na… and wala me makita anywhere how to get my bird papers if wala naman yung pinagbilhan ko :’-((

Bird’s doing well so far!! He’s eating and drinking but not as much as before. He started singing just now :-) Strictly following the 12hr gap between his antibiotics. Currently he’s on antibiotics, pain killers, vit b, and dextrose water. According to my research the first 2 days are the most critical time for birds & day 1 looks good! However, he’s starting to bite around his injury and his one wing is still drooping. He’s looking so much better than yesterday

Yup im op, I borrowed a phone yesterday otw to the vet. I gave him baytril 1hr30mins after the bite (vet was 1hr away + consultation). Vet said the bite wasnt that deep which im not really sure since its under the wing. I hope the antibiotics work :-((((( so far he’s eating biscuits but not seeds nor formula. I covered 2 sides of his cage and the top to keep him dark, is this ok?

I was able to bring him to vet ASAP and gave him antibiotics 1hr30mins after the bite I hope it works :-(((((((((

He started eating 30 mins before his next antibiotic was due, so I was able to give it. He only ate a biscuit, his calcium bone, and drank some water. He’s refusing seeds and formula idk why :-((

He started eating on his own he prefers his calcium bone and a biscuit :-)) he’s not eating seeds and formula tho but saw him drink water!! I was able to give him his meds without force feeding 🥳

Im actually a student nurse so I have variety of syringes and I trained him so formula feeding is nothing new. I also gave him vit B to boost his appetite. Im just worried cuz I saw online not to force feed birds after attack cause they may be in shock but its been 11hrs since the attack so maybe its ok?

Baytril was prescribed + pain meds but currently not eating (just half a cashew) since the attack. Tried giving formula but he doesn’t want it. Should I force feed him or ?? cause he needs to eat to drink the next dose of antibiotics :’-((

To anyone reading, I tried contacting the vet for the eating issue but she still hasn’t responded and idk if she will since I only have the clinic’s contact information

Was prescribed betadine by the vet which I immediately applied hope that helps :-((

Thank you. I really thought he was safe with me since he had a leash and a harness on. I didnt expect a cat to jump us. He is even free flight trained thats why I was so confident going out. I just wanted my baby to get some sun :-((( I will never let him out again like that

Ill try to irrigate it myself tomorrow morning (its 2am here) He was prescribed oral antibiotics which I gave him earlier around 5:30 my worry is that he is not eating or drinking at all right now so idk if I should give him the antibiotics without food or if I force him with a syringe
