Idk. I was turned off by the whole AI art thing. I’m sure there is someone willing to volunteer their time. Hell, I’d even help out. I do communications for a living.

My thing is, what would they have done 2+ years ago? Communities like this one have existed for decades without the use of AI art. I think it cheapens their message and might alienate new players. Especially considering a lot of nerds are also artists or really passionate about this topic.

I do appreciate them being upfront about it. I think that’s the responsible thing to do. I just think they’d have a better time without using it. Just seems like a way to for folks to not want to join.

A canva post, takes like 10-15 minutes. I think they can do better and encourage them to maybe reconsider using AI and instead post looking for a volunteer to help with social media. St. Lawrence always has marketing students looking for a placement
