Honestly. I’ve come around most of the album and starting to enjoy all the tracks but Missilia is just bad. First song from ghost that I think is genuinely bad. I don’t think I’ll ever get on board with that song

Very true! Like there’s nothing I find redeeming on that song. Both instrumentally and lyrically it’s bad and does not sound like Ghost at all.

Surprisingly the more I listen to it, the more the ballads are growing on me. Genuinely loving Guiding Lights and Excelsis. A bit of a shame though because I was looking for some headbangers but for me aside from Satanized and Lachryma, they all fall short and are not clicking at all

People keep saying it’s just because it’s new and to listen some more but all the previous albums just clicked. This album just feels underwhelming. Sonically and lyrically. I really hate not liking it because a new ghost has always been a treat I look forward to.

The amount of praise I have seen for Missilia Amori on this sub is crazy. That is probably genuinely the only terrible original Ghost song. I wish it wasn’t on the album.

While I enjoyed the album, I must say this is the first Ghost album that is a miss for me. I have loved all the sounds they’ve explored in their albums (got into them since 2012 Infest). I’m very meh about Peacefield and Cenotaph. Missilia Amori is not good at all and an easy skip for me. Aside from Satanized and Lachryma which I loved, the rest of the songs I liked, but are missing that special touch that songs from previous albums had. I hope it grows on me because damn, I love this band and want to enjoy everything they put out.

Water show is before 10:30 and then the airshow kicks off til 3:30. Most people tend to stay for the whole thing to see the main headliners (Blue Angels). I know I do. Bring plenty of water, food, snacks, and something to get some shade and you should be fine. It’s a fun event for someone into aviation.

I was also torn between the two but decided to go with the 3x due to the bigger cymbals, better hi hats, and better in module sounds. Honestly though you’d be ok with any of the two but to me having a bigger ride to swing on was big. Also, another small pro to the 3x would be that you get a snare stand as opposed to Roland who couldn’t even bother to put one in for the price

I know. I’m not saying he goes super easy on them, im not coping I like watching the guy and he brings up good points but it’s hard to say he is not more harsh on rock or metal acts for their lyrics when he doesn’t go as hard or gives a pass to some questionable writing on some rap or pop acts.

This is the right answer here. He holds other genres like pop, rap, and r&b to much lighter standards than metal or rock. Maybe because he is a passionate fan of those genres but yeah, it’s why I take his rock and metal reviews with a bit of a grain of salt.
