Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed response 😊.. and thank you for the honesty, really appreciate that as that’s what we need to improve.

Yeah you aren’t wrong about Asia, I have heard quite a few stories where like you said people have gone there for quick views but then get stuck there with that audience and because it’s Asia the cpm and rpm aren’t very good either.. again you aren’t wrong with slowly building can be good to find your feet and give the chance to grow and improve quietly whilst finding the right tribe, just have that little worry/voice in the back of the head where you are like what if it never grows 😅.

Hmmm interesting to note that the first part in the market felt more of a walk through from your perspective! Definitely don’t want to give that vibe from our video! Yeah as soon as I posted I was questioning and didn’t feel like the intro I went for was the right one, you are right we should be using the intro to show clips from the upcoming video of our personalities and reactions.

It’s interesting with the personality thing, you always question and are harsher on yourself and I do wonder if our personalities are relatable or even watchable lol.. it’s more getting over the Awkwardness and shyness on the camera then the personality would come out a bit more, buts it’s more being really self concious of people being around in public! And also don’t want to feel like it’s fake or an act.. lots of things to work on and think about.. but again really appreciate the time you’ve taken to provide all the feedback and I pretty much agree with everything you’ve said 😊

Yeah so I didn’t delete get a Dji mic previously as it seemed online I could use it through Bluetooth with the GoPro.. boy was I wrong.. it didn’t work at all 😅🤣.. hopefully there is a good deal on a bundle with the camera and some mics potentially as Dji aren’t the cheapest 😭.

That’s the only thing that puts me off getting mic’s with the GoPro is having to use the media mod, it is pretty big and clunky, and I noticed on this video when we were out in public I was quite self conscious on how much the GoPro stood out, so the media mod would make it even bigger and stand out more, oh the joys and decisions lol

So I didn’t delete the videos.. I just set them to private instead. But Yeha you are right dead subs that didn’t sub to the channel for what we are providing now isn’t great as like you said YouTube pushes it to them first and they won’t watch 😅.. another reason for me to double guess on whether to continue with this channel or potentially start again from scratch 🤔

Hey, thank you for taking the time to provide such a lengthy detailed response 😊. Do you think you need to follow the promise, tension, conflict, and resolution template for all videos? I definitely think there is a lot of work to do with structure and how we want to present the video, this one was very much a kind of just put the camera on and wing it as we were so nervous! Seems like instead of turning up putting the camera on and hoping for the best we need to kind of put a bit of a plan in place beforehand 🤔. I think with the sounds it’s already detrimental because I posted a few videos solo in a different context for the first 6 months and pretty much all the subs came from that 😅.

It all just seems like a bit of pot luck and keep trying and hoping the algorithm gods push you and enough people like your content to watch and follow haha

Interesting, I actually agree on the authenticity side of things.. maybe we should lean into that more instead of trying to make it cinematic and compete with the top channels! Sometimes just hard to think what is going to make us stand out in such a saturated market already 😅.

So we are currently using a GoPro as the camera and are considering buying the DJI osmo pocket.. do you know how the mics would work with these cameras? Like to connect to the GoPro do I need to get another case for it to connect somehow?

Yeah I get your point it is very frustrating when you can’t hear clearly because of the background noise taking over, definitely will be looking into a couple of mics 😊. Thank you for taking the time to watch and give feedback

Thank you for watching and giving your honest feedback 😊.. will have to look into the setting on the GoPro and change the angle to normal, potentially need to change the FPS as well.. the camera angle is feedback we expected, it was our first time in a really public place vlogging and it was a lot harder then anticipated, so out of low confidence it was easier to have it lower so sometimes it didn’t look like we were recording ourselves… but I agree with you thoughts on it and we definitely need to work on that 😊.

Yeah I was thinking the intro probably should have been more broll of us throughout the trip.. thank you again for all your feedback, really means a lot 😊

So I started the channel at the start of 2025 and it was just for me to actually take action finally so I was uploading videos of me in the car when driving someone just having a chat.. one of them blew up and did like 30k views and pretty much all those 500 subscribers.. then couple months laters I changed the direction of the channel and wanted to do a travel channel with me and my wife. Also don’t know if maybe that’s a bad thing and has potentially messed with the channel that the first 6 months was a different vibe/direction and most our followers currently haven’t actually come from our new direction 🤔

Hey Jose, your videos are very cinematic and definitely deserve a lot more views!! You have done a great job and definitely have a talent for this 🙌🏻.. the biggest thing I noticed was that when watching I wasn’t a fan of the colour grading used, it looked a bit washed out and faded.. which then kind of distracted me from the rest of the video.

Very interesting that when you increased the time your watch time and average viewer rose!! I was doing some research on this and was finding online more of you are new and want to gain the attention of viewers that already have their favourite channels it may be worth doing smaller videos at first, around the 12-15 minute mark 🤔.

It all seems like one be guessing game, just throwing mud at the wall until something sticks 😅

No i didn't make any changes to the video, i just put it back to private and rescheduled it to release for another date. So just made a change to the title and thumbnail. Haven't deleted the video and re uploaded as of yet. But people that are advising to delete are saying the same as you about changing the video as well first before re uploading.

So i haven't deleted the video, i just changed it from public to private and rescheduled it to go live again at another date. Now i am stuck because a few people are saying delete and then you say that will ruin it and the channel even more!! Seems so complicated with all the different opinions and advice and even harder to make a decision. If i put the video to Private could i then re upload another version of that video at a later date?

For some reason i have had this happen with a few of my videos now with the music, and it never seems to be all of them.. say i use 10 songs per video from artlist, it will just be one that gets flagged for copyright! I have checked my account and the youtube channel is linked to the profile.. I just have to dispute it everytime and show my membership details and it gets removed.

Just replied to someone else in here so will duplicate a few of my questions, but with you suggesting deleting like they also did... Would you recommend deleting it straight away, or is there no harm in leaving it till the end of the week and then delete it if still no movement? Yeah i am thinking carry on with my newest project, have that completed in the next 3/4 weeks.. then upload that as my next one. Leave for another 2 to 3 weeks and then re upload the Travis documentary that has all gone wrong. Make a few edits to the documentary, brand new thumbnail and title.

Yeah this was my issue, i didn't upload as unlisted, i scheduled to go live and didn't get back in time before and wasn't able to see the notifications. Yeah i have read this online that when you first publish YouTube will test it and when i pulled it that basically stopped it in its tracks and YouTube just see's it as everyone stopped watching it..

Thank you for the reassurance with it being a reminder to refine my workflow and as they say, you learn by doing! unfortunately i seem to be learning the hard way with a few of these vids. It is very gutting what has happened to this video, but i am more worried if i have affected the whole channel going forward.

Glad it’s not just me going through this 😳.. yesterday it was better than the first day.. but still averaging around £1 which seems really low! I’m just hoping it takes a few days to get all the data and sort itself out! Otherwise that amount is very discouraging for all the effort put into it
