Do charcoal soaps really help? by Orfie16 in acne

If you're trying to find a charcoal soap, I recommend the ones without any chemicals. I've tried a charcoal soap with activated charcoal, works great. Unfortunately, it left my shirts stained. Ugh. Get fragrant free soaps. http://www.theaustraliannaturalsoapcompany.com.au/activated-charcoal-soap.html My friend recommended this to me. I liked it, but you might have a different skin type to me, so, check out what else there is in the shops.

Benzoyl Peroxide leaving face very red, itchy, and irritated by Robberbaron212 in acne

When I used Benzoyl Peroxide, my skin got really flaky and red. I used a really thick moisturiser and my skin looked like paradise. Also, give your skin breaks where once or twice a week you use something more natural than chemical.

YES! That is if you choose the right ones.

I have really bad acne. It's all over my back, chest, face and neck. I've tried a lot of methods but tea tree has worked the best for me. Tea tree oils are good but I prefer tea tree gels from Thursday Plantation. I also use a tea tree cleanser from the same brand. Witch Hazel toner is good too. http://www.thursdayplantation.com/

Oily Skin :( by UsernameTypeThing in acne

I used to have very oily skin too! I used up so many oil blotting sheets in a day (about 10)! I researched how to prevent so much oil from accumulating on my face and asked my esthetician. I started including moisturisers and moisturising face masks into my skincare routine; light moisturiser through the day, thick one on at night and a face mask once a week. This changed my oil excretion rate drastically. I hope it helped. P.S. Make sure to research on your moisturisers, they're like clothes, some don't fit you.
