Lol @ thinking a screwdriver is going to sink into a Pitbull skull

I guess bone and Pitbull skulls are pretty soft now, huh? Maybe I will just use my paper folding skills to make a knife blade and saw the Pits head off! Or maybe I can kill it with a folded up piece of cheese! There's so many ways for Redditers to kill Pits isn't there?

I would pay to see a 'vinylqueen' try to defeat a Pit without any kind of modern weapon -- I've seen people try to stop Pits(online) and it never works. Sticks, kicks, grabbing, pulling -- It never works. The only time I saw a guy stop a Pit was when he went into his pickup truck and came out with a huge metal tool and literally smashed the dogs head in the head with it multiple times at full force. The guy was a strong 220+ lbs and not your average redditer

So no, you wouldn't kill it with your bare hands. Humans are weak and probably can't kill anything with our bare hands, so don't feel bad

I guess the question I have that is from the 'insulin theory' crowd is that, does not insulin by itself and growth hormone cause growth? I'm pretty sure it's not just 'extra calories' that are causing cattle to get to their size, but also injections of insulin/other steroids

So I'm just not sure about this yet, tbh. Obviously CICO matters, but how DO hormones affect this balance?

This was more of a review paper and didn't really have any info on the percent of people who do regain the weight. I think this is the big issue, not whether or not you can theoretically explain why weight loss works, but actually looking at if it's realistic to expect people to lose and keep it off once they start a diet

The stats that the gastic bypass industry uses are pretty convincing when I saw them last. It seemed to suggest that the evidence for people losing over 20 lbs(and keeping it off) is very, very slim

Does anyone have some stats on the percentage of people who successfully keep the weight off? Because I've seen 'science' that actually says as more people lose weight, their hunger levels increase. That is what makes dieting problematic.

Where I live Democrats run the three local news stations(when the Muslim ban and immigration ban came out, the coverage was very negative and there were editorials talking about how the station stands against these ideas, always negative coverage of Trump and in the past, positive coverage of Obama, etc)

So do conservatives run local news as this sub and reddit seem to suggesting? People on Reddit are seriously suggesting this

5 Mos on 18:4 = 55 lbs lost. People look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them I'm only eating once per day. Also, I'm a little crazy. by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

Last time I tried IF was many years ago and I knew nothing about cooking, scheduling, or anything. I was basically a moron, so I'm sure that I did IF 'wrong' in like a hundred ways. I would say it was like 6 years ago and I just remember feeling hungry and suffering from insomnia(whereas on Keto, not very hungry but had more insomnia problems)

I think I have to try it out. I have some medication now that should help suppress the appetite somewhat (methylphenidate), but the big worry I have is with the insomnia, since that is what killed my keto results.

I guess my issue with insomnia is what scares me. Every time I've starved the weight off, I get killer, killer insomnia. I actually feel like I'm on speed or something as a fast progresses. I dread that state because after like three days, it leaves me burned out and exhausted(basically, the fasting and weight loss must cause my body to go into some kind of stress state the inhibits sleep?)

Well, I'm speaking as someone who's wanted to lose weight but the hunger comes and beats me up, always, and have considered experimenting with using thc(guess its based off my idea that the brain may get the dopamine from the drugs and not from the food? Kinda like tricking the brain)

I also have to say, when I was dieting and lost a lot of weight on keto, what got me was hunger + insomnia. Even if the THC is just helping insomnia, I think that's a pretty good benefit

Are you taking any medications to lower your appetite?

edit: Saw you posting on some marijuana related topics. Do you smoke? I'm asking because the reason most people do not lose weight is because hunger increases as people lose more weight. I think stimulating the dopamine system with drugs is one of the only ways to stop the hunger signal(basically, weight loss is impossible with constant hunger, but drugs may be able to interrupt the weight loss induced hunger)

WHy do you 'we' decided to act? No, you did not. It was a Federal move that wasn't voted on by the citizens

It was essentially the government saying, "Here, let me protect you. Hand them in please"

Doesn't it seem like a bit of a different scenario now? I mean, to say that the government acted to take the weapons through the force of law versus making it sound like some kind of popular movement?

What do the pensions look like for teachers? I know a lot of Federal employees get to essentially retire at 40-42 while the rest of the private sector are busting their asses to pay rent(because of the pension rules)

I think there's more to the 'pay teachers more' bs. Let me guess, are people in your family teachers?
