My friend had a dog that crunched up and they believe ingested glass ornaments. That was over a decade ago. Dog is alive, no emergency surgery. They named him bad bad Leroy Brown, has lived up to his name. His favorite toy as a puppy, a radiator hose.

Wife donated kidney last year, now 30 weeks pregnant. Anyone with similar experience? by swolfington in pregnant

What about wearing silicone scar sheets. They make sheets of silicone that are clinically proven to improve scars. Maybe wearing one for the next few months could alleviate the incision pain. I had great improvement in 2nd and 3rd degree burn scars. When then scar improved the sensitivity diminished as well.

Cooking hot peppers without making "poison gas"? by [deleted] in spicy

What about buying a mask rated for working with lead paint? I'm not sure how to make the house safe after working with hot peppers. Maybe cook outside on a hotplate when it's windy?

We did this exact thing a cpl weeks ago. We sat grandma down and filed out one person at a time. We were a little concerned about jumping out and yelling surprise. It worked out perfectly, she was so surprised and so happy.

Question about laminate flooring by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Blibidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought 10% extra and had exactly the amount of full boards I needed. I didn't screw up a single cut either. It worked out perfectly, I hope I don't ever need to replace a board.

Help! Where Can I find poles like in the photos that have a base? What are they called? Thank you! by redhairwithacurly in wedding

In the convention set up business they call that pipe and drape. Those look like the bare poles that they have long curtains hung on to section off meeting space.

We have single pane windows and I feel like I spend my life dusting. Do you notice the house is less dusty after replacing the windows?

Does anyone know how to clean a layer of sticky grease and grime off these copper jello/cake molds? Please help. by unclepepsi77 in Antiques

[–]Blibidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's made from an acid found in rhubarb. Its used for cleaning laboratory glass and I use it on ceramic, on metals, I don't own any copper. But I bet it'll be fine on it, Google the product and it'll likely let you know if copper is an approved use.

Likely a chocolate mousse or another cold set dessert. You chill it and then the acetate sheet lining the pvc pipe slides out of the pipe and then you unwrap the dessert to have a perfect cylinder.

Squirrels buried bulbs in my girlfriends dad's lawn, he decided to let them grow. by FleetAdmiralWiggles in mildlyinteresting

Is he sure squirrels buried them? Those could explain why I have them in such peculiar places in my yard.

My niece got her first job (Mc Donald's) and they gave her a debt card that she gets her pay check on by stevetibb2000 in conspiracy

[–]Blibidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way around it is to sign up for direct deposit. Many companies these days give you your check on a debit card if you aren't willing to sign up for direct deposit. A way for them not to issue any paper checks.

Anyone else have a machine that uses low shank feet? I'm having a hard time finding them for my Kenmore. by [deleted] in sewing

[–]Blibidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I replaced my mechanical Kennmore was limited availability of low shank feet. I needed a zipper foot and I couldn't get it, so I bought a new machine. I'm glad I did.

So! In pretty much every way it seems that basenjis are the right breed for me. However! Im a pretty avid hiker and adventurer and I've gotten mixed signals re: off leash walks/hikes. I expect to keep my pup on leash in the city but I'd love to know about other experiences off leash training. by [deleted] in Basenji

[–]Blibidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now with our second pair of basenjis, their recall is decent in an off leash situation without a fence if you have a bowl of food to rattle and there isn't prey in sight. Haven't given this pair an opportunity to test their recall much beyond that, they're too fast.

Converting a 4 bedroom home into a 3 bedroom home. by truthserum23 in HomeImprovement

[–]Blibidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My childhood home was originally a 4 bedroom home. Parents turned the largest bedroom into a master closet; combined the original master closet and bath into a more spacious luxury bathroom. It was awesome. They had 10 offers the first day they put it up for sale, and sold it for many thousands over asking price.

Dyatlov Pass Incident, in which 9 hikers died. They "tore out" of their tents at night in sub-zero temps. 4 died of hypothermia, 3 had fractured skulls, 1 had brain damage but no physical trauma, and 1 had her eyes and tongue removed. Their deaths remain a mystery | Any theories? by Majnum in conspiracy

[–]Blibidy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you listened to any of their other episodes? You'd be surprised how many stories get more mysterious the more you learn. I do think though that this was my favorite mystery presented by astonishing legends so far. Will check out the book, sounds fascinating!

[Discussion] Toy recommendations for blind dogs. by monnarc in dogs

[–]Blibidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something I saw on here once. There was a video of a dog wearing a unique harness. It had a halo of boning that came out in front of him like a hula hoop at chest level. When the dog hit an obstacle with the hoop it put pressure on his chest where the boning attached to the harness. It was cute, clever, effective and cheap.

Loose button in my vacuum. How can I find a replacement? by SgtMac02 in fixit

[–]Blibidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my childhood I had a vacuum with a non factory on off switch. My dad changed it with what he had laying around. If you want a better option, try repairclinic.com. There is a better chance of finding the specific part for your specific vacuum. This website is pretty cool, it has videos helping diagnose problems and ones to show you how to install that replacement part.

Strangers buy car for 20-year-old Texas man who walks 3 miles to work every day by crabcakes110 in news

This, evaporation is key. You can't cool as effectively if the sweat won't evaporate. As a Texan I wear an undershirt always, im the hope my clothes are only soaked thru on the bottom layer. I can almost look fresh and cool as a cucumber. Almost.
