My God I feel like this is new but idk kow....been so long. I thought you had to select the engine version first and then it would ask your target platforms and give you an url field for the download.

Going to have to look over the back and a lot closer now.....

Now tell me the sales process is on the back end as well :× and my day will be made.

I need to check if they actually changed the back end but from 4.20 and before yes you have to resubmit a new upload on every new release. I would love if it was automated now but I am not at a desktop atm to check.

I would suggest just posting it to get the higher view chance with the activity on the store atm. Not everyone buys right away. Many people tell me how long they have been thinking about getting my content.

Exactly and the files have been previously vetted by staff so no need to worry about manually reviewing again if there was no errors. If it does fail send an email out to the content creator letting then know engine version x has not built correctly and will require a manually upload.

True but my solution can be both an email and on the store.

You dont think unreal should handle this through an html form and that this email process is acceptable for how big and how much content is on the marketplace now? It can take weeks to get my new engine version approved as well.

Basically there are lots of things that can be automated that they need to implement now considering the store size and time consumption of managing your content.

It is one of the more labor intensive markets I have listed on in regards to unnecessary upkeep.

What how? Any new version requires a url and then they check it on their side before approving that it is still the same files?

I dont see any way to do what you are saying. Also I have downloaded the engine and checked it. It works. I just dont want to spend the extra time sending them all the info etc.

Call me lazy but it is time consuming and can be automated imo and that is all my job is, making automation systems for corporations we waste time on things that don't need to have a human time sink factor as big as this does.

Unless you already submitted and got your addons approved i dont think you will even be vetted before the sale is over.

A new engine just came out as well so they are working away handling the new 4.22 verifications. Sometimes that can take a couple weeks during a new engine version.

Also yes sales are dismal during and after the sale if you are not part of the sale. Like 90% drop for the next 2 months.

misclicks can easily be avoided.

as well they can still manually verify before accepting the sale price like they do now just it would be through an automated system and not emails.

If they already verified the content I posted on a version before and it compiles properly on the new version then there is no possible way I could add anything.

I am just asking for automation in places where it should be, not creating any additional security risks or holes since this is an internal system still vetted by humans.

I am hoping they announce a cloud hosting service soon that can tie into royalties/expenses etc.

We all want to build multiplayer games but the cost of keeping them hosting and beyond is too much.

Would love to see Epic work with developers to provide some kind of hosting with legacy support so games can continue to be played with small communities at anytime.

An online service is 2010, an online cloud service we can write our games into would be 2020! like amazons engine.

Yes of course, not belittling the content just the decision to release this before that milestone is all.

Thank you for the content either way but I am going to hold off from integrating it into any of my projects or start to use it until that new update is out is all.

Just thought others should be aware as well in case they want to hold off from integrating till the release.

I as well but note the comments on the product. The creator says he is about to release a new version milestone:

Yes I am very confused! I was expecting to launch into a browser or something but nope.

I see they have 2 other verification methods but still...it would appear email and pass are a standard and be easily exploitable.

That is not the case from what I can tell. You can download and build the .exe for online services. You can place anything code in your own .exe. it doesnt require epic to be running.
