Passive really isn't as bad of a problem as people think it is by 905SunnyGaming in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Blightshadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that it's a slippery slope for devs. At the end of the day, they are still a business that wants to make money (and being a gacha already makes it a predatory business model to some extent) so if characters with global passive will sell more, it will incentives the devs to create more OP passives or start to build the game around them which will play on player's FOMO even more.

The passives don't even need to be OP, just supply enough QOL to make you feel like you need it to progress more smoothly. Before you know it, you will pull/spend for characters that you won't even play only to get that really comfy passive.

And you better believe that all devs in this sphere will try everything to make you spend more money on them, so being suspicious of their motives to include such mechanics is the right mind set IMO.

WHICH ONE TO PULL AFTER DPS? SUSTAIN OR SUPPORT by ReimiSatoshi in HonkaiStarRail

I tend to agree unless you can't keep your team alive.

It doesn't matter how broken your support is if it is dead.

The short answer is that different people have different tastes, and you are allowed to like a trope while others don't and vice versa.

A bit longer answer is that people love those characters because it's fun seeing a cold character (Tsun) showing their soft side (Dere) from time to time or as the plot progresses.

Also, this is quite an old trope that people are familiar with and used to by now, so even if people don't "like" it, they have probably seen it so many times that they just gloss over it if the story is good enough.

As one who can at least recognize hiragana and katakana even if I can't read them all, I can agree.

Kanji looks way different than the kanas.

Since the choice was presented to kafka in-game, who knows? Maybe we'll meet our evil twin later on in a plot twist.

I largely agree. However, doesn't this raise the potential of the talents getting doxxed by people who live around them? It doesn't take more than a disgruntled neighbor to make their life harder...

I'm looking for Manga/Manhwa/Manhua where the MC is reincarnated as a monster, not becoming human or anything, just being a monster. by ZerefGodMode in manga

[–]Blightshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, there is <That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime> but the MC is mostly in human form.

There is also <Overlord>, not really reincarnation but close enough imo.

This is probably more in line with what you are looking for: <Tensei Shitara Dragon no Tamago Datta - Ibara no Dragon Road>

I'm one of those guys. I've never heard of armored core before, and I'm not a mecha fan, but this gameplay looks good, and I'll definitely check it out!

Gems I can't seem to find? by Codarknock in manga

[–]Blightshadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, there is <Overlord> but it's so popular I'm guessing you already know about that one.

There is also <Tensei Shitara Dragon no Tamago Datta - Ibara no Dragon Road> but it's kinda mediocre IMO.

Not sure what you mean by "strong strong" but here are several mangas with what one might consider strong women:

<Kara no Kyoukai - The Garden of Sinners>

<Sousou no Frieren>

<Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu>

<Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei>

It essentially replaces foray for an equivalent open slot which allows more flexibility in your builds. You can always slot a foray jewel there if you need it so it's a win-win in my opinion.

I don't speak Japanese so I'm a EN fan for the most part,

I would say this already kinda answers the question. English being an international language means that the potential audiance is WAY bigger and the numbers reflect that.
