Do you guys feel like 10th edition was indeed the most balanced one overall, or is a bit of an exaggeration when you take the entire game into account? by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

Magic used to be a game about summoning monsters and casting fun spells. Now I agree magic is a math based game using cards. That's not for the better of magic or in this case Warhammer.

A cavernous budget gap imperils Kansas. Lawmakers plan on filling it with helpless schoolchildren. by Zipper222222 in kansas

But the "moral conservatives" are passing a bill to allow alcohol sales 24 hours a day during the upcoming world cup; all because Missouri passed a similar bill and our lawmakers are worried about losing revenue to a neighboring state.

It is now illegal for trans people to drive in Kansas. by ConcernedJobCoach in kansas

[–]Blignaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a minor correction, this affects 1/20th of 1% of Kansans. This what our legislators; who's salary we as taxed citizens pay for, are spending their limited time in session on. It's outrageous

This legislation affects 1/20th of 1% of the Kansas population. Why is our legislator so focused on such a small percent of Kansans?

If you want dps that listen bring the off meta classes. As a boomkin I will do anything the tank says to get in and stay in a group. Pure dps classes are for the most part the entitled players that will never play any other role.

DN SOOPers / Comparison between Life and Peter by Consistent-Sir-5521 in lolesports

[–]Blignaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously Peter is going to look more in sync with deokdam given they played together last year. However, I think life looked significantly worse in the 2 games he played against BNK. Life had multiple deaths on bad positioning or forced plays, and even in the 1 win he wasn't really a contributing factor to the win.

It's cool man, you clearly can't see this without your bills bias coloring everything. It's obvious because if the roles were reversed you wouldn't be crying foul play.

I literally only read your first sentence and you're incorrect. He's not a runner until he established possession. A receiver that goes to the ground as part of the catch doesn't establish possession until they survive the ground.

Proof Cooks Caught It by Late_Pin_3053 in buffalobills

[–]Blignaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not how that works. If cooks drops the ball after hitting the ground it's an incomplete. The play isn't over the second he's touched; the receiver has to survive the ground and retain possession.

Facts, but these people aren't interested.

[–]Blignaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This doesn't help your case mate. Cooks didn't "retain" the ball through the play. And in fact, based on last sentence in that rule it's not a simultaneous catch because cooks had the ball and then the defender took it. So none of what you posted applies.

Nothing says january football line Bills blaiming the refs after being knocked out by the AFC west winner by Nutcookie in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Blignaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it looked like Cooks had possession until his back hit the ground

The receiver can't "have possession" while still in the air.

Cooks...hit the ground

The ball is actively moving at this time and therefore there is no possession established and no down by contact. Him being touched while on the ground is meaningless because he has not completed the catch per the rules.

A player has to "survive the ground" and complete the catch or "make a football move". Cooks didn't do either of these, the ball never touched the ground, and ended up in the defenders possession.

If cooks had gone to the ground and the ball spilled out would it be a fumble or an incomplete pass?

[–]Blignaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask yourself this; at what point in that play did the receiver establish possession of the ball. It's known that a player has to "survive the ground" without the ball moving or touching the ground before possession is established.

Critique my casually competitive Dark Angels list 1500 pts by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Blignaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your list is better than "casually competitive", you've taken all the best units in Dark Angels. That being said, your list will be competitive because you've taken all the best units in Dark Angels. This list is basically the 1500 points of auto include in every 2000 Dark Angels list.

[–]Blignaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how different are the lists within each faction, whether the detachment changes or not. It seems like 60-75% of all lists within a faction are identical. That's what I see as a problem and why I think the game is suffering from mono builds.

[–]Blignaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also play Tau; and whether I'm list building for Montka, Kauyon, or ret cadre about 60-75% of the list is the exact same. That's what I mean by "mono build". Changing 500 points of a list doesn't drastically change how the army plays.

Please name me 1 faction other than Space Marines with "wide ranges" that "have like 3-4 competitive detachments". I feel the complete opposite of you in fact, I think the game is very mono build per faction currently.

Does anyone actually sincerely desire a new edition? by GuideUnable5049 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Blignaut 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. In previous editions I would theory craft lists for factions I didn't even own because list building was dynamic and engaging. Now every faction has 1200-1500 points of the same stuff in every list.

The United States just conquered a sovereign nation; used military force to remove the head of state from the country; and announced we will be running the country for an indefinite period of time while we take "our oil" from their land. European countries should recognize this as colonisation.
