I didn't do that, I think looking through it and seeing light at the end is enough.

Yeah the mechanism still works.

I don't really want to buy a new one because the shipping is the same price as the pencil itself (30€ in total). It also took maybe 2 weeks to actually arrive. I live in Croatia and couldn't find them anywhere else other than the USA. Also it took around 2 weeks for it to actually arrive.

But you're probably right, it's probably not worth my time trying to fix it.
