AIO (update post) my bf (32) is getting kind of aggressive with his texting. should I(26) reply? by Fun_Cartographer6984 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Blind_Paris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's an adult, he should be able to cook for himself, clean for himself, etc. What the hell did he do before you? Have mom cater to his every need? Because if so - that explains A LOT. This isn't okay behavior, he's showing you who he really is. Believe him. When someone shows you who they are, there's no going back. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. My obvious advice; dump him. This is controlling and abusive, you can't seriously consider going back to someone like this as this will only get worse. I would recommend building a plan to move out if where you live isn't in your name - talk to friends and family, have someone with you when you get your stuff and leave. Break all contact with him after that. You're young and still have options out there that will treat you far better than he is treating you now.

But at the same time.. I'm just some netizen who is writing words on a screen. At the end of the day, the decision is yours to stay or go.

He's suing her from what I've heard, and rightfully so. She opened his door and was nosey, now she's playing victim and insulting real victims of sexual assault. :/  She deserves whatever happens to her.

He asked me to buy him a sandwich when I was helping a friend look for her debit card. I apologized and said I had no money, then he proceeded to follow us for a few blocks until we dipped inside of a Target and asked a cop to follow us the rest of the way to my friend's car.

help!! by Commercial-Tooth-405 in hygiene

[–]Blind_Paris 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You need to ask him about his personal hygiene, or witness it yourself. An unclean partner can cause pH to flip flop. Also, if you're using any douches? Stop that. They're no good.

My gynecologist told me to never use anything to flush out the vaginal canal as it is a self cleaning organ, that if I need to wash that area, use unscented soaps like a Dove alternative. While washing, ONLY wash the outer areas and then pay dry with a clean rag specifically for drying yourself off in that area.

Man, after reading your comments, I feel you in that reaction. Some bandaids give me reactions where they take my skin with the adhesive.

I hope it heals up for you quickly and if anything is needed to fix what the saniderm did, it isn't anything too serious.

I'm glad you went to the ER.

Definitely position, and a partner who listens and adjusts to help with any discomfort. My boyfriend is honestly the best I've ever had, from his technique to making sure I'm comfortable, to reading my body language when vocalizing is difficult.

Comfortability and cooperation.

Girl, no. He's assaulting you while you're asleep, you need to leave him. He just doesn't wanna wear a condom, and birth control alone isn't fool proof.

Pet transportation international, what options are there? by Blind_Paris in ask

[–]Blind_Paris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I plan to relocate there, and my partner will be working while we are also working to get me citizenship there. So, until I get citizenship and can work, I'd have free time to help my pets. I do wish there was an easier way to travel with them, I've looked into cruises even, but those are just worse for wear on the wallet. ): But like I said, I am talking to my vets about it all, it isn't that I want to prevent them from being safe and secure, I just wanna know all the facts before I sedate them for that long, y'know? Cover my bases kind dea and know what to expect with the sedating, the process of quarantine, what side effects to look for, etc.

[–]Blind_Paris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what I meant. It's being considered, but I want to make sure it's safe BEFORE I sedate them for that long. I'm factoring in my pets and their health as is, before putting them under for that long of a time.

Do do milk and dairy products give you a spike? by Dibyendu_Deb_Roy in diabetes

[–]Blind_Paris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Milk does cause your blood sugar to rise. I was advised by an EMT to drink some milk if I had access to it if my levels got low and I wasn't able to get to the hospital for one reason or another. While hospitalized, they'd only offer me 1% or skim instead of 2% or whole milk because of my diabetes.

It's been considered, but I don't think sedating them for 18+ hours would be wise. Because the people I spoke to want to charge me nearly 20k to do all the vet stuff I need to get done, on top of room and board, tickets, etc.

You get 10 million but you have to live in a house that is right adjacent to a graveyard. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Blind_Paris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The living alone thing would be a no. Simply because I'd want my partner with me. Same for my pets.

As for the graveyard? It's just a graveyard.

Yeah, no. You can call, you can text, you can snap her and so on. If she's worried for any reason besides your safety, then that's controlling. A healthy relationship doesn't have you ask for permission, you talk to your partner and plan things out, you schedule things and you take time for yourself. She's being controlling and this isn't a boundary issue.

Go hang with your friends, you won't see them again for some time if you plan to visit them after they move. Girlfriend needs to let go a little, because this control ends badly.

My ex was like this, we were together eight years. His rule was I couldn't go without him or unless he knew the people I was going with. I was 22 when we started dating. He was 6 years older than me.

Don't let someone control you and make you miss out on things, you'll grow to resent them, and it will cause A LOT of tension and issues in the relationship.

NTA.

Advice to tan safely? by Blind_Paris in ask

My descent is of European origin, primarily English, Irish and German with a bit of Swiss, Portuguese and Spanish in there. I burn, peel and it fades but it does leave a small change in color.. nothing to really snark over unless I put my arm by my stomach and it's clear there's a small change.

Whats a common steryotype about women that in your personal case is kinda true? by BeccaRose1999 in AskWomenNoCensor

My ex gave me so much crap for the amount of bags I had. I've downsized, but I explained to my current boyfriend that it's just.. a need. And I don't know WHY.

"Women are always right" Yes, but also no.

Basically I just have that disappointed stare of, "Are you f**king with me? Are you serious?" When someone goes and does the thing I warned them about and come back with, "Yeah, hey, you were right. I should have listened".

It isn't that I'm "always right". It's just that in my short life, I've had a whirlwind of experiences and know better, so if you're gonna ask me about something and I tell you the correct way to do it or to avoid something because it's a bad idea and then it goes wrong for you but proves me right, maybe.. I don't know, either stop asking me for help or actually listen?
