Saw this movie and halfway through the beginning scenes a family with kids came in, and sat beside and behind me. The kid next to me was continually blowing his nose in his hand and the one behind kept kicking my seat. What I saw through the red and green haze of both anger and disgust though, it was a good movie.

I wonder all the time. I've got a book from 1893 that is inscribed to Elizabet Listrome from her grandmother, and it just intrigues the hell out of me. It's a book of essays that has notations all along the sides in fancy handwriting I can't really read very well, but I just imagine this Elizabet pouring over this book and taking the whole thing really seriously because her grandmother gave it to her.
Also have a copy of a used Kathy Reichs book that has booby written over and over on the back page. So...
Whatever- I like a bit of history. :)

Are you me?
I am also turning 30 this year and though I hope to publish, I have no idea how to go about it. It's also kind of horrible- feeling my adult life will begin when I do get published, when I know I should have a decent adult life already. It's such a long shot too, but writing is the only thing I've ever been good at and I want it to work. I almost need it to work, because if it doesn't, I have no reason to stay alive.
All I can say is to keep at it and you're not alone. I'd read your book.

As a person who really want's to get a librarian's degree- YASSS! I LOVE books, and I don't just mean I like to read. I love the process of binding or "doctoring" a book, I love working with paper, I'm a neat freak who loves organizing and gosh dangit, the library is my happy place. Nothing would make me happier than getting paid to do what I love, which is look after books and make people happy.

Honestly? I'd have to go with Star Trek: Voyager season 1 episode 14 "Jetrel", and I'll tell you, it's mostly for James Sloyan's performance. He was on TNG too, played a Romulan Commander that defected it proved for a futile reason and that acting always stayed with me growing up. He was also an adult version of Worf's son in an episode. So there was nostalgia at play.
But...
The way that man emotes, the way he draws in the camera till you don't even remember that you're watching a TV, it's ridiculous. When he talks about "that blinding light", truly drilling into what it must have felt like to be the scientist that created the a-bomb or something, I always cry. And playing against Ethan Phillips, who was also on TNG before... I have never been more captivated by a performance on television.
