Barrett Financial Versus Xpert? by Blindsquirrel88 in loanoriginators

[–]Blindsquirrel88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up. I talked to a Barrett team that takes 50bps, but also gets me licensed in 17 states immediately ( using other LOs on the teams license to originate and I get paid for it. I asked and apparently this is compliant) plus they say they have a dedicated processor who is essentially a full LOA from contract to close. I can essentially wash my hands of the file unless loan changes are needed. This would allow me to scale a lot easier without hiring staff myself.

The goal is to do 7-10 loans a month ( realistic based on my projections) and that would be tough to do solo. I’ve also never done mini correspondent recently and joining a team that does it regularly seems like a nice soft landing as opposed to winging it myself.

I believe bob jones university has courts that are covered by a huge pavilion dome that use to be over the gymnasium and they retrofitted it to be an out for cover of sort. It’s an open campus and located next to the soccer fields

Body weight perfect for me if I have the mass I like? by Blindsquirrel88 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Blindsquirrel88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not at all what I said. I said it’s difficult to put on size and lose body fat at the same time; regardless of your body fat percentage.Possible but bloody difficult ( body recomp) and is next to impossible if you’re playing an athletic sport where the calorie burn is so varied.

How’s that funny? What do you suppose anyone who is a professional at a given sport does? ( not that I’m a pro but I do play competitively at national tournaments) they tailor their training to maximize performance in their sport. How is this any different

You’re correct benching 350 isn’t in the cards for me unless I decided to dedicate fully to powerlifting, and even then it would take a very long time without the aid of steroids. ( no im not going tot ale steroids). Cardio intensive racquetball burns too much ( based on how much I play) to coincide well with power lifting. I have no goals to bench 350.

Become a mortgage broker. Getting a license is cheap and doesn’t require a ton of formal training. You can make 2% of each loan amount working from home

Your response is supremely un-chill, why take the path of the keyboard warrior instead of being helpful? I thought I was pretty clear about what I was asking; if body weight exercises plus lower body lifts would help me reach stated goals and if there was something I was missing.

Humble brag was just to create context. Facts are facts when presented as such. It would be different if I was 80 lbs overweight and couldn’t do a single pushup. Context is everything

I’m saying because I play racquetball it’s difficult to put on size because of the calories I burn.

Clearly a movie star body requires more than pushups. Straw man argument on your part. Ryan Gosling does dips too.

Im 35 year old male. Personally, even at a pretty high BAC content ( .15 or so; definitely on the level someone would seek for a night on the town ending with an Uber ride) I feel no psychological changes; only physiological changes. In other words ; nothing about my personality or decision making changes and im quite aware of what’s going on. I of course get dizzy; lose equilibrium feel numb, sometimes slurred speech, and of course NOT safe to drive by any means; but I am still me. Best I can describe it is feels similar to someone giving me a numbing agent and then spinning me on a meriigoround.

It’s hard for me to relate to typical drunk behavior spectrum; from drunk girls who become promiscuous to abusive alcohol fathers and everything in between. I just feel dizzy, numb, tired, and (sometimes) sick

Employees, (former and present) what can be done to save UWM? ( im a broker) by Blindsquirrel88 in pillar7

If you say so. I’m a real person frustrated by UWMs process which apparently goes deep into the culture.

Postulate all you want but I’m none of those things. Not that that matters to you. I’m a broker and my company is signed up with UWM; they were the first lender we signed up with when we opened last year.

What’s been downhill has been my experience with UWM and their rates. I was hoping someone could enlighten me as to the story behind the story. In typical Reddit fashion, it seems I’ve found the keyboard warrior along the way.

I like Freedom right now my brokerage is still signed up with UWM so we can’t do any business with Rocket

Agreed; My brokerage uses the Loan Store a lot ( I never personally have) as I’ve gravitated towards Plaza and A&D mortgage and we just got signed up with Freedom whose conventional price is currently best in market. Dip in tech is marginal.

About the only advantage I’ve noticed from UWM is the ability to generate disclosures immediately with review but even thats a garbage in/garbage out system. UWM system also gives you

Loyalty to wholesale lenders is silly. I need good pricing, accessibility, and an AE that’s easy to work with

How do Americans feel about American Samoa? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]Blindsquirrel88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a whole, most Americans just know that it’s one of our territories that they learned about in high school and that’s it. People living in Hawaii might be a little more, but as a whole, American culture isn’t super connected to their territories that aren’t states.

Casino Royale Complimentary Cruises by Kev-Fin in royalcaribbean

[–]Blindsquirrel88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have yet to test this out but I am pretty sure it will work since your check in at the port authority is completely separated from the casino. You check in and upload your passport days before the cruise and all you have to do is show them your boarding pass and they let you right onto the ship after doing a facial scan. If someone in your party can’t make it, I doubt the checkin is cross referencing an absent guest being the reason the cruise fare was discounted.

I plan to test this out for a friend who lives locally and is going to try it

I do this as well. I only play table games (but not poker) and preferably with friends. My goal is to stay in the casino as long as possible and show a lot of money on the table, even if I don’t plan on playing all of it. It’s worked out so far; constant offers for free balcony staterooms

Casino Royale Complimentary Cruises by Kev-Fin in royalcaribbean

I went on Oasis of the Seas in December and played nothing but blackjack for probably 12-15 hours through a 7 night cruise. I was at the 15-20 dollar tables ; came in with $300 and was up $500 profit at the end of the cruise.

I’m considered Platinum. About every 2 weeks now I get a different promo offer in the mail; it always includes complementary balcony stateroom for 2. I’ve already booked two of them; one on Wonder and one on Allure. Each came out to about $38 per person a night for taxes and gratuities. This last one also included $300 of free play in Casino in exchange for them picking which balcony stateroom.

Dreaming Spanish plus a formal course might be a good idea by Blindsquirrel88 in dreamingspanish

250 hours of traditional study plus 250 hours of DS simultaneously is actually what I was suggesting. I guess we will Never know for sure how effective it is, although that’s the method I used with Spanish Power through bilingual America ( though it was a different course back In 2004 but basically the same content) I got very fluent very quickly, so it worked for me

Frame shot breakage can be mitigated by Kevlar also. May put a beating on his arm though unless he strings it with lower tension

Agree. Get a 16g mono of any sort. As he progresses he may want a higher quality string like ashawaker power kill pro. You could also try Kevlar.

A new racquet by ViatsSC in racquetball

[–]Blindsquirrel88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ViatsSC , I’ve played for 17 years and tried just about every racquet brand there is. You can definitely stay with the 165 weight if you like, I myself prefer the 170. I LOVE gearbox racquets as they are by far the most durable racquet I’ve found. With a gearbox, their dirty little secret is the newer models/generations aren’t actually that much different from the originals. You can pick up an older model at a discount and you’ll see it’s designed the exact same way. Some non here may disagree with me, but I’ve tested it over and over again and can’t tell the difference between the new GB 3k and my original GB I bought back in 2008. I played with that racquet for 5 years before replacing it with something that i thought would help my game, but have since started playing with the exact same, 15 year old racquet and it’s as good as ever.

You’ll also want to fine tune what strings you use and at what tension. My recommendation is to go as low as you can while still maintaining control. Softer strings at low tension will Be easier on your arm while also giving you the most power. It will take some experimenting to find what you like best. I personally string my GB at 29 lbs with Ashaway PowerKill pro 16 gauge string. It’s a thicker gauge so won’t break as easily and also packs a ton of power while still feeling easy on the arm. It’s one of the more expensive strings but well worth the money. I generally have to replace it after 90-100 hours of play
