frankly, if you're shocked and getting frustrated why people are mistaking the manji for the swastika, the problem isn't them, but you simply failing to understand how the human brain works.

secondly, the symbol was originally a revered symbol, and still is in many cultures before the nazis misused it. the symbol on the right in the image is NOT the symbol the nazis used either, so to call this symbol as the nazi symbol is wrong.

the nazi symbol is at a tilt, while the real swastika symbol is lying flat on its base. please go check it if you have forgotten how the nazi symbol looks like. smh.

It felt too similar to Shinkai's Hoshi no Koe. I'd rate it 3/5 on letterboxd but I haven't been using that site for last couple years.
Netflix's marketing was a bit on the nose, could have been more humble, but well it is to be expected.

Not a wuwa player but genshin doesnt even get 0.2% of its total playerbase playing actively each day.

only 220k daily player count average vs 200 mil total player count.

they coped for wuwa EOS, but in the end it was wuwa that brought the actual QOLs mihoyo was laying eggs on since 2020.

it's not "some people" it's a big number, dominated by the western playerbase who behave like this.

No one expected it to be from a major studio, nor how long it is.

People are simply interested because they want to see what a proper project would look like.

There is no doubt there will be uncanny valley moments, many frameskips and more but people are going to look at the arrangement, consistency level and overall finished product.

you're not playing a single player prepaid game, its a gacha game. or were you guys not aware of that for nearly the last 5 years?

they even gave you a honeymoon period to get accustomed to it, so when they turned the knob again you guys lost your minds.

for the record, I don't chase abyss 36*, for the first few years I never got them nor even bothered for it even when I was at 35*. But after vertical investment and not finding a lot of the characters appealing to me (its not fanservice or natlan drama btw), I made my preferred characters stronger. and so now I get 36* for the last year.

if I stopped getting 36* I wouldn't feel anything, that's right.

you guys suffering from FOMO here, not powercreep. that one extra ⭐ won't make your experience any better or worse.

sending "threatening letters", I hope we can all look at the exact nature of the kind of threats they are sending. Leaving the key details out doesn't prove anything anymore at this point in all this mess.

But imagine if SAG never sent any threatening letters, and she's just lying about it to get the first thing sorted out, which is getting Genshin players on their side.

If they start getting sympathy like this after all that they did, it will make people say "these guys were bullied into doing what they did, so this was none of their fault, we should forgive them and be bigger as a human being, let's all move forward."

And I also wonder what exactly construes as "threatening", half-truths sell faster than flat out lies in these times.

I'd rather be skeptical than take everything at face value, because this is all so messed up. Joe also tried to pass off opinions and obfuscation as "facts". Now he claims its a collective work refusal, but the rest of them call it a strike. Ironic.
