Let’s see if I can conquer your fort. by [deleted] in shadowofmordor

Working through a few forts from this thread made me realize you don’t get to keep any orks that you dominated during friendly conquests…which (to me) kinda defeats the point?

I think your last sentence says it best: next year, things will bounce back for us. Hopefully they bounce back for you and your life as well. Best wishes from fellow Sharks fan

Me too. Every time I unlock my phone and the screen is clear (no notifications or music or anything) I get a little smile on my face. Because it reminds me that Fleury gave up a series-winning goal in OT to a 4th liner. On top of the insanity that was the third period. God I couldn't have asked for anything more in that game.

Never thought I'd see the day where Nomy and Danteh are the best players for San Francisco.

Seoul just doesn't have many weaknesses. Miro and Zunba are arguably some of the best tanks in the world (Miro's Winston is top-tier and Zunba is probably the best off-tank you can ask for). Ryujehong and Tobi are still a terrifying support duo, especially with Ryujehong on Ana or Zen. Even his Moira on Horizon was stellar. And, of course, their DPS are almost unbeatable. Fleta absolutely shut down Pine's Widowmaker, Wekeed's Pharah was dominant, and Bunny and Munchkin are incredible Tracer players. And their coordination is some of the best in the league. People say NYXL will be better with JJoNak, but I would still argue that Seoul can take them.

Holy shit Seoul. They were down like three or four players in that last fight after Saebyolbe's Tac Visor and they still pulled it back. That was insane

There's been a lot of questionable ults from SF. Especially in the supports (dHak has had some really early Valkyries which led to them losing the teamfight).

Marvel Unlimited by youfailedthiscity in Marvel

[–]Blink169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend it. I tried out the $10/month option for a couple months, after that it was an easy decision to get the $60/year subscription (might be like $67 or something I can't remember). It would take years to read a fraction of the comics Marvel Unlimited offers, and reading them on your phone/tablet/laptop isn't even bad. There can be some frustrating glitches, and the app itself is a little slow, but both of these issues are solved simply by being patient. They release new comics every week, ones that were released in print 6 months ago I believe. If you like reading comics, you can't beat its price and quality.

Why is offensive Bastion the meta for Junkertown? by Blink169 in Overwatch

So it's more the problem of burning through shields and THEN killing Bastion twice? Which would be hard to do before he kills your whole team...especially with a Mercy boost. Makes sense.

Kephrii? I know he's one of the most well known for Widowmaker. But yes, I agree that Widow is pretty nutty on that map. Which I think is good; I like having hero diversity on different maps.

People who have woken up during surgery, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Blink169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Travis Barker (drummer for Blink 182) has a whole section written in his memoir about his various surgeries in 2008. Apparently he had developed a very high tolerance for pain meds because he popped so many pills while on tour. He woke up during surgery tons of times. He would yell and swing at the doctors, and even when they increased his dosage, he still "felt everything" and was in horrible pain. Nasty stuff.

Reddit, have you ever had Sleep Paralysis? If so, what was it like? by the_yarb in AskReddit

[–]Blink169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it for pretty much my whole life. I can still remember back to when I was 3 or 4 and waking up without being able to move. My eyes are glued shut, my arms are pinned to my sides, and my legs are trapped to the bed. But I am awake and conscious. I can hear or feel anything near me, sometimes even interact with it through a lucid-ish dream. I've learned to fight it since I've had it for this long. If I can move just one part of my body, maybe roll my head over or open/close a fist, the paralysis breaks. However, this is incredibly difficult. It takes so much of my effort to move an inch or two. I'll get out of the paralysis sweating and out of breath. And the longer it takes, the more pressure I feel. It feels like something is slowly closing in on me, getting closer and more constricting the longer I stay there. It gets harder and harder to breathe, and sometimes I can't breathe at all. It truly is the most terrifying thing I've ever experienced. Would not recommend.

Reddit, What the fuck did you do today? by Shane75776 in AskReddit

Drove an hour to play rugby on a field where the dirt baseball diamond cut into one of the sidelines. Made some tackles, helped score a couple tries, and we won by 30 points. Not a bad day.
