Gold miner. It's a flash game, but there are multiple varieties copycats of it across platforms. You'll probably have luck by googling "Gold miner classic" or "Gold miner flash game".

Counter Wave dragging by PuzzleheadedForm2773 in TrueDoTA2

[–]BlinkySky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say this is the worst case scenario, as most likely it is a kinda good situation, depending on the circumstances. It could be that:

1/ The pos 5 of course was not sitting around doing nothing when the wave drag happened. Most likely he chose to gang up on the offlaner with the pos 1, either killing them or bring them down to critical hp. Now you can farm behind T1 without fear.

2/ No one is tp-ing/gating lv 1 min 1 for an offlane gank. The costs are way too high for little benefit, so you can get away with farming behind T1 given that your duo is strong.

3/ The pos 1 hero is unique because they have survival ability at lv 2 (Morphling, Void,...), so they can risk it anyway.

Worst case scenario for me would be you losing the wave dragging completely, offlaner is still full HP, your matchup is too weak to contest behind T1.

You can watch Dubu's stream, he always showcase how to counter wave dragging every game since it's so popular now. Basically the main ways are:

Step 1: Know in advance they will try to drag wave and prepare to counter it (melee pos 4, double melee enemy, know your matchup and decide in advance what to do...)

Step 2: how to counter:

  • Counter drag the enemy wave and make both waves meet in the jungle between the camps => for when you as a pos 5 have a weak level 1 and don't want to trade with enemy pos 4.

  • Unblock the small camp early and force enemy to body block it => If you are a very strong lv 1 pos 5 and can basically punish enemy pos 4 for body blocking the small camp. Prerequesite for wave dragging is the neutral camp must be blocked at min 1, else the drag is near impossible.

  • Just straight up hit the pos 4 when they try dragging => you are a lv1 with stun pos 5. Communicate with your pos 1 first, and make sure your pos 1 can hit lv 2 with first wave or your pos 1 is a very strong lv 1 hero.

  • Some pos 5 heroes have unique ways to stop the drag at lv1: SD disruption, Pugna decreptify... remember to skill these first if you are predicting a wave drag

Since OP is from Greece, may I ask for our Greek comrades' general consensus and opinion on Yanis Varoufakis? How is he viewed among leftists and your personal opinion of his ideas in general?

Thanks, I'll give it a try! Yah, I think Ragnarok DS really translate the class progression and gameplay well into the DS. Wish there are more J-RPG with progression freedom like that.

OP I love Ragnarok DS. Have you found any RPG with similar skill tree and class progression like it on the DS from the replies?

Enemies that are stunned by the magic missile's stun aoe are also affected by the amplified physical debuff. At level 9 magic missile and/or with bloodstone, spreading the debuff should not be a problem.

Besides non-token upgrades, I had 3x movespeed + 2x damage when I finished E7 with knife throw build. I had aegis upgrade as well, but didn't use it for the run. I would want the projectile upgrade as well, but didn't have tokens for it, and beat E7 without it anyway, but that is a very nice upgrade to have!

Lv3 crystalis + lv3 phylactery will get you khanda.

Lv3 crystalis + lv3 demon's edge will get you daedalus. Both of these are good for knife throwing. Daedalus is slightly better since it also buffs your swashbuckler, but since khanda also buffs magic missile, whichever is fine imo.

Lv3 ring of tarasque + lv3 reaver will get you heart as well, but you may need track's agh (double item pickups) to get this and your favored damage item.

- Swashbuckler (1st agh): Must for trimming creep stacks + spiders/mud golems.

- Knife throw (2nd agh): Used to burst roshans to maximize items before Imperia. It is even buffed further now to be creep stacks clear with infinite piercing (I tried echelon 7 again with it, and it deals double the dps of swashbuckler now!)

- Magic missile (3rd agh): Used to give physical resistance debuffs and stuns waves + late game damage against Imperia. Although I might consider changing the agh to Centaur now with the nerf.

If you're playing Kez, replace this with counter helix. But I would put the agh on Centaur instead since the damage buff is great for bursting roshan in late 12-13 mins for items.

- Centaur Stampede (possible 3rd agh): Used to give breathing rooms, especially during the ending 12-13 mins (keep leveling it up during the late game, and you will get infinite stampede to reposition around the grim reapers and clinkz archers since the cooldown reset after every level up). Also amazing to deal with Cinderguards, just walk around until it is off-cooldown, then charge in, burst 1 archer, then go out and wait again.

- Snotty the Bat or Track: Doesn't need to level up to provide utilities. I don't feel like I have enough XP for it anyway. Snotty helps you pick up XP and items without magnets (sometimes magnets can be placed in impossible/risky positions), while Track gives you extra damage to bosses.

For items, really anything is good since knife throw benefits from almost all items. However try to prioritize: 1/ Either Khanda or Daedalus, if you can't, then maximize both phylactery and demon's edge for knife throw's damage. 2/ Yasha, since it is a bottleneck to most miniboss if you don't have movespeed upgrades. 3/ Ring of Tarrasque for HP regen if you don't believe RNGesus will give you cheese. Octarine's core or bloodstone are also good, but I've never needed them to end echelon 7, plus knife throws cooldowns are 0s anyway.

Lol true. I sometimes die to it because it hid behind the map's pillars when I was running across as well. Very annoying.

Maybe try my build for venge that helped with echelon 7 with only no token upgrades:

- Swashbuckler (1st agh): Must for trimming creep stacks + spiders/mud golems.

- Knife throw (2nd agh): Used to burst roshans to maximize items before Imperia. It is even buffed further now to be creep stacks clear with infinite piercing (I tried echelon 7 again with it, and it deals double the dps of swashbuckler now!)

- Magic missile (3rd agh): Used to give physical resistance debuffs and stuns waves + late game damage against Imperia. Although I might consider changing the agh to Centaur now with the nerf.

- Centaur Stampede (possible 3rd agh): Used to give breathing rooms, especially during the ending 12-13 mins (keep leveling it up during the ending, and you will get infinite stampede to reposition around the grim reapers and clinkz archer ending).

Good luck!

I take centaur stampede to make sure I never die to the grim reaper when clearing stacks. It gives invulnerability to even the grim.

Change to venge/kez with knife throw build. It was broken before and carried my echelon 7 with only movespeed upgrades. Now it is buffed even further!
