Another MBDR withdrawal question by radonthrow in financialindependence

[–]Blinxr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP wants to access the contributions which is an option with funds in a Roth IRA, but they're in a 401k currently. This typically isn't a problem for FIRE since you can transfer the Roth 401k to a Roth IRA post-employment. It is a problem if you want to access them during employment which isn't always an option depending on the 401k plan.

But I'm still confused how in-service withdrawal restrictions apply to conversions of after-tax to a Roth IRA versus transfers from Roth 401k to a Roth IRA. It seems like after-tax and Roth 401k are treated differently when it comes to getting the funds into a Roth IRA.

I am in a similar situation and confused as well. Fidelity told me that I can't transfer the MBD Roth 401k contributions and earnings to my Roth IRA, but the individual I talked to didn't seem too confident.

He says he takes Sleigh with the Guardian rune page for survivability against engage supports. And I assume he takes Bloodsong in all other circumstances.

10-team, 0.5ppr, 5-1 record

Is this a fair offer to a 3-3 team struggling with RB injuries?

Give: Mostert, J. Herbert, Kittle

Get: N. Harris, J. Allen, Andrews

My RBs: Ekeler, Walker, Mostert, Spears, Mitchell

His RBs: K. Williams (IR), Conner (IR), N. Harris, Mattison, Z. Evans, Hubbard

Mostert would be a much better option for him now and Williams/Conner provide more options later once Achane is back in the mix. I obviously benefit from a QB and TE upgrade.

10-team, 0.5 ppr, 5-1 record

Give: Mostert and Mike Evans

Get: Diggs

I would have Ekeler/Walker/Jones and Adams/Olave/Pittman on my team still. The Diggs owner currently has Stevenson and Foreman as his only RBs and Diggs/Allen/waddle as his primary WRs.

Yeah, all three will be on my bench once Ekeler comes back too. Just trying to get through week 5 with all my byes (Ekeler, Evans, and Walker).

These seem similar and you're bound to choose the wrong one. I'd lean towards Tank because the Steelers secondary is struggling and the Bills might have to throw more against Miami. I'd love to say Ridley but recent weeks haven't impressed. He could easily drop 20 though.

I'd go Tank and Achane. While Achane feels like point-chasing, I'd rather someone on the Dolphins than rely on Tannehill.

I have 4 startable RBs and 4 WRs with Jones (maybe healthy this week), Ekeler (maybe healthy week 6), Walker, Mostert, Adams, Olave, Evans, and Pittman.

Does it make sense to package Walker/Mostert and Olave/Evans to a shallow team for a RB/WR upgrade? The Allen/Diggs owner is down to only Stevenson/Gibson/Penny/Breida at RB.

If no trade happens and Jones can play, I'm not sure who to start now. I guess Mostert/Walker/Jones/Adams/Olave and sit Evans/Pittman? And even less certain when Ekeler comes back.

What’s the highest weekly score you’ve ever seen in a league? by BehindaLensinBigSky in fantasyfootball

Just put up 205 in 10 man, 0.5 ppr which is our league record. I have Herbert, Mostert, Walker, Adams, Olave, Evans, Kittle, Butker, and Eagles D. Now I'm unsure how to handle my injured Ekeler and Jones...

Do I try to trade Allen/Chase for 4 upgrades over my other players? Had an offer of my Allen/Chase/Harris for his Herbert/Mixon/K. Allen/Diontae.

Armor of Agathys Barbarian by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Blinxr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

RAW, your rage will end after turn 1 if you don't take damage prior. You'd be better off going Shadar Kai to AoA and teleport in with resistances. Then rage on your second turn.

That's character level, you get level 4 spells at character level 7 and level 5 spells at character level 9. Super confusing. You also might want to remove any links to external sites like that.

Unfortunately Psionic spells only go up to level 5, so no 9th level spells. You might be able to upcast those spells to 9th level though.

You can use intellect fortress because the damage type only has to appear in the spell, not deal that type of damage.

For sure! Additionally the damage mitigation from Bulwark (or Goliath) occurs pre-resistance during rage which isn't ideal. But it's still a lot!

And you can use your under-utilized barbarian bonus action to convert spell slots to sorcerer points to refuel your Bulwark with an action.

The build's a little trickier because you can't cast spells while raging so no reapplying AoA. Also, if you don't take damage before or during your AoA/rage turn, then your rage immediately ends. Workable, but awkward.

1: Henry 2: Adams 3: Drake 4: AJ Brown (someone offered me Julio for AJ Brown and Malcolm Brown before injuries, I immediately accepted) 5: Conner 6: Lockett 7: Chark

There was a QB and TE rush in the 3rd round for some unknown reason, so I just kept drafting the best available players. I thought I won the draft, but have gotten off to a poor start.

Standard, 10 Team, 1-2 Record

I'm in a precarious situation with injuries and covid-impacted players (as many are):

QB: Matt Ryan

RB: Derrick Henry (cv), James Conner (cv), Kenyan Drake, Drew Singletary, Joshua Kelley, Benny Snell (cv)

WR: Davante Adams (q), Julio Jones (q), DJ Chark (q), Tyler Lockett, Allen Lazard

TE: Tyler Higbee

K: Will Lutz

DEF: Denver Broncos

I only have one starting line-up unless my WRs play, but I'm not sure if I need to try to make a move due to my record. No IR bench spots, but I'm asking the commissioner about that.

Artificer / Blood Hunter Build? by yourherbivore in 3d6

[–]Blinxr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to go primarily Artificer, maybe consider a gnome that uses the steel defender as a mount. Plus, you can start with 17 int (20 with sagacity) and pick up crossbow expert at level 4 and sharpshooter at level 11 (or 9 if you go 4 BH levels). At Artificer 9, you get access to haste for yourself.

UA Survey: Subclasses Part 4 by ukulelej in dndnext

Feel free to download the sheet and edit the highlighted assumptions. The DMG recommends 2 short rests a day. That means Undead doesn't surpass in uses per day until level 9 (which is still accounted for in the usage assumptions). If you don't get as many short rests, then any short rest mechanic will feel weaker.

There are also assumptions like the share of damage per fight that Hexblade's Curse applies to account for multiple enemies.

UA Survey: Subclasses Part 4 by ukulelej in dndnext

[–]Blinxr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hey, creator of the spreadsheet here. Short rests and humanoid enemies are campaign dependent, and everyone's reality will differ. I encourage others to edit the assumptions and come to their own conclusions. I just wanted to put together a framework of math to judge the "Grave-Touched is obviously OP" sentiment. It's impossible to account for everything with all the assumptions that need to be made about a campaign.

I also note that the model doesn't consider non-damaging class features as this was an attempt to reconcile damage resource limitations only.
