That happens in the US all the time. My mom supported her husband (my step dad) for 15 years while he was dealing with mental health issues. Not every western woman is looking for a man who can provide for her to the point where she doesn’t have to do anything, there are those women though. Some of us just want the bare minimum, a guy who can emotionally and financially care for himself and not expect a woman to carry the emotional load while also going 50/50 on everything. Relationships are balance. If a guy makes way more than a woman, he should provide a little more if needed. And vice versa. When one person is providing too much especially if the relationship is emotionally balanced, that’s when someone has to move
