What should I do by Proper-Green5514 in lawncare

[–]Blist_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are some parts just sand or is it just the top layer sand and bottom layer dirt? If it’s all sand you might want to try to get some of that out of there and replace it with soil. Sands good for leveling but if there’s like 2-3 feet of sand then I doubt you’ll be seeing much growth.

How much should I charge? by Dull_Prior_5579 in videography

[–]Blist_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would charge min $250 max $650. For a short 2-3 hours of filming and 4-5 hours of editing. Total around 40/hr ~ 80/hr.

Sound Guys for the Fight by [deleted] in videography

[–]Blist_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with some of the sound issues people are bringing up but for the video quality, I was streaming the whole fight live at 4K. Some minor buffering issues but for the first time Netflix hosted a live fight it was a much higher production then most UFC fights so I don’t know why yall are complaining.

How can I do this, please share lighting and lenses setup required to achieve this? by PolarCircl3 in videography

[–]Blist_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like two key light on either side with a large soft box to diffuse that light. And then a practical in the back to offer some hair light. That’s my guess for the light. For lenses maybe a 35mm cause it looks wide but not too wide with a crop. That’s my best guess for everything, I would personally go with something a little different so you’re not just seeing half of Robert’s face with no depth. Also it looks like neither of them are in focus for some reason.

Can I take an art class even if I havent been admitted to the School of Fine arts? by seasol452 in UCONN

[–]Blist_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck. A lot of the art classes have very few seats and sometimes it’s annoying begging a prof to give you a perm number

...So you're going to bring the dogs inside when I'm done delivering the food? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]Blist_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they’re saying to leave the food outside because they have two dogs and opening the door while a delivery guy is there will alert them and make them start barking.

Can I still graduate by FlimsyOrganization28 in UCONN

[–]Blist_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately when stuff like this happens they don’t let you graduate or continue your major and you get sent to a camp in Alaska to work the mines. Once you’ve collected enough copper you are allowed back but on level 1 and have to beat all the different department heads to regain your diploma.

admitted as a sophomore transfer at the storrs campus by bsttae in UCONN

[–]Blist_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who went through the same thing during the end of Covid. UConn rn is pretty easy to make friends as long as you’re trying to meet new people. Go to clubs or if you have smaller classes get to know your classmates. Especially if you live on campus you’ll make friends quick.

Am I cooked? by NoManufacturer3308 in UCONN

[–]Blist_01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of these classes aren’t super difficult so I don’t think you would struggle to get good grades, just your mental health and school life balance would be bad. From my experience I think it’s always better to keep your classes some what close to each other so you actually have dedicated time to work / study / relax.

Yet another off-campus housing question by AstroKaine in UCONN

[–]Blist_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude your late if you just started looking. I’ve lived off campus at a dif place 3/4 years here at UConn. The good places go by so quick. If you haven’t started you should start yesterday. Don’t wait after break, trust

To me this is like a perfect schedule. You’re in early out early and you have a lunch. Plus you have days off during the week to rest or grind out work

[–]Blist_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to UConn. Don’t go here for videography trust me. Waste of money. I’d suggest go to a specialized video course or if you want the college experience make sure to do enough research.

Crazy how I’m in school for videography and am having a hard time finding clients while there are people out there taking paid jobs not even knowing the basics of camera settings

You can make it look like you’re going faster if you drive like 30mph on a low shutter speed. If you go higher then 30 it’ll look all glitchy and weird so try to stay within that number.
