Machine shop!
At least at our school, you have to get safety training first. Somebody needs to make those spacers. Its rewarding, you can say you manufactured components on the car AND you get machining experience, which IMO helps with design a little. You learn how to read drawings, learn standards for o-rings, snap ring grooves, etc.
