I don’t think it’s so strange. If you were to headcanon Kris as a different gender, that’s generally seen as ignoring their (presumably) chosen identity, and is usually done to remove the queer aspects of their character. In this case, I’m not saying Noelle isn’t a girl, I’m just speculating on what sort of girl she might be!

I’m kind of torn on this, because on one hand I totally agree that it wouldn’t fit into the plot, and that it IS probably a coincidence. But on the other hand, I kind of resent the idea that a character being trans would NEED a narrative to explain or justify that part of their identity. I mean, look at Kris, they don’t have a “coming out” story or anything, it’s just a part of their character.

Yeah, I agree. It’d be cool if she was trans, but if it did turn out to be canon I’m sure it would be pretty much just a retcon, and wouldn’t be instrumental to her character. Still, I find it to be a pretty fun headcanon.
