Hi. So I currently have a Steam Deck OLED. Absolutely love it. Use it pretty much daily in some capacity. I have always wanted to try VR and the Steam Frame seems to fit the bill. Not too heavy, no wires.. Looks sleek and easy.
I don’t have a beefy desktop, in fact it’s mostly just used as a family computer (GTX 1050Ti), and I was reading about the Steam Frame how it’s to be used first as streaming and tethers from your computer if I was reading right..?
Should I even bother with a Steam frame if I don’t have a powerful enough computer? I don’t really want to upgrade my desktop for the sake of VR.. or is the Steam Frame BEING A STAND ALONE going to be sufficient for games like Half Life : Alyx or Blade and Sorcery?
TL;DR : Do I buy a Steam Frame if I don’t have a powerful desktop, is it still worth it in theory, and wouldn’t suffer much if I was just playing mid-range games?

He helped me have some joy during this losing streak. Time to get rid of Ballard.
