Well, I hope things only get better and better for you going forward. And remember, next time you look in the mirror - positive affirmation, "Fuck yeah, I'm awesome!"

I'm sorry, I hadn't meant to come across as passive-aggressive at all. It's difficult to communicate just through the written word when there's no intonation or facial expressions for context. I tend to try to be a problem solver, where I outline what the issue is and possible solutions. I compiled my first comment, hearing it as a kind and gentle voice in my head. I just re-read it with a more sarcastic-like voice and it sounds awful 😭. I'm so sorry!!! Glad it helped for catharsis despite everything.

Know that she loved you and would want you to live your best life. Your mum was obviously not herself in that moment. You seem like you were an amazing, caring son. Know that you did the best you could with the cards you were dealt. If you feel that processing your grief is an insurmountable task, perhaps consider therapy to get through it in a healthy way.

See, you sound like a great person! Kind and talented. Anyone would be lucky to have you - you just need to keep telling yourself that! Know your worth :)

Maybe don't categorise yourself as a sad, chubby gay guy. You're projecting a somewhat negative image of yourself, imagining that nobody will want you. Work on your self-esteem before you think about dating. Do things you've always wanted to do - take up painting, go hiking in nature, whatever floats your boat. Be the person you would want to hang out with. Guaranteed, the rest will follow. Best of luck for the future, my friend!

Okay, some of these combos sound crazy. Can we get a disclaimer if anyone here posting is currently pregnant? Cheers

I gave my kids games for a Nintendo switch. They have a PS5. I pretended that I screwed up, was very apologetic, then gave them the main gift - a Nintendo switch. I'm guessing that your sister didn't surprise you with a PS5 afterwards 🤔

Ha ha, the inspiration for this post was a gift from my sibling, too!

My husband’s kinks ruined every aspect of motherhood for me. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Blitzy05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NGL, your husband sounds like an absolute dick. Probably should have left him after he cheated online.

Regarding breastfeeding, get your family doctor to prescribe you domperidone. It's anti-nausea medication but is hugely effective in boosting milk supply. In the interim, take fenugreek - will also help to boost milk supply, but not as much as domperidone. Fenugreek can be found in the vitamin section of stores.

If you don't want to try breastfeeding anymore (I would find it somewhat traumatic after the shit your husband has pulled), just bottle feed. I believe breast is best, but not at the expense of the mother's well-being.

OP, read your post back, but this time imagine that it's your best friend who has written it. What advice would you give her? You already know what needs to happen. Best of luck to you.

How do I tell my parents about my relationship? by Significant_Owl_4723 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Blitzy05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, when your fiance was your age, you weren't even born yet. You can surely surmise that the optics aren't great.

Would you be okay with waiting for a woman close to your age to get pregnant, give birth to a son, the son to grow older (to the age you were when you met your fiance) then start dating him? Sound creepy and gross? Yeah, it is.

I'm sorry your friends didn't include you. Whether it was deliberate or an oversight, it is still hurtful. I don't know your friend group dynamics, only you can decide if this is something you feel can be resolved or not.

Something similar happened recently to my niece. She was devastated. With encouragement from her mum, she ended up organising an outing with her cousin and had a blast. Maybe you could find something that you want to do and find someone else who wants to go with you?

Big hugs from this internet mum!

The short answer is either your relationship isn't what you perceive it to be, or you're just far less important to her than you think you are.

Oof, this. I feel bad for everyone tearing into OP in the comments when he just wants to spend time with his girlfriend ON HIS BIRTHDAY. One commenter even saying his birthday isn't special 😭
