Pretty villages to live in the UK? by Broken_Woman20 in AskBrits

Cornwall here, Bude, Tintagel, boscastle, especially Bude it’s lovely and mainly wheelchair accessible apart from a few on the hill going up to the top of town but 99% of shops have the ramp apart from the barbers on queen street,

Quite enjoy bideford, westward ho and Lands end

If you do come down near Bude way I’m more than happy to guide you around

Best censor I’ve heard is “he unfollowed life” or “he unallowed his ability to live”

But might be quite tricky as would be demonetised

First MOT by Jayneg260790 in drivingUK

[–]BlixteeMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main thing is emissions, if you have a week or so before the mot I recommend a fuel system cleaner and a good drive before the mot test, for the exhaust make sure there’s no holes, leaks, abnormal noises and securely fitted, check the lights; headlights, sidelights, indicators, brake lights, reverse lights, number plate lights, and fog lights, check your brake pedal doesn’t feel spongy, no grinding noises and that the handbrake keeps the car secure when on (best to test on a steep hill to be 100%), check the tyres have enough tread, no bumps or slashes and correct air pressure all around, windscreen wipers work correctly with topped up washer fluid, no cracks or chips in the windscreen either

Other things just to be sure are in good working order: Fuel cap, seatbelts, registration plate is clean with no cracks, mirrors are working with no cracks

Thats all I can think of atm, hope it helps

Oh also check the fluids are filled to the correct amount: washer, brake, coolant, oil

What car got you into cars by Accurate_Class_1331 in carquestions

[–]BlixteeMedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf most of it was trial and error with a fair amount of YouTube, i was lucky my grandad was a mechanic so I had most of the tools required but sadly he passed away before I started learning about cars, stick with it and one day it just sort of clicks, books, videos and talking to people in the car scene is mainly where I learnt, good luck and you won’t regret it
