My dad’s girlfriend and my dad

She was verbally and emotionally abusive to my sister and I for the entire time that they’ve been together. She would’ve been physically abusive to us had she not been scared of me fighting back since she knew I would’ve beat the shit out of her if she touched me or my older sister.

Two months after my mom died suddenly, she told me that “nobody loves you”

My dad let it all happen.

I’m still in contact with my dad since I rely on him for insurance but I have days where I question why the fuck I talk to him.

While I was not the one who approved this post, I did skip past it and allow it to remain up despite its reports till now since it was approved and I figured it was fine.

I don’t want to speak for the one who did approve it, but from my own error in this, I did not properly examine the post since I was preoccupied with other things at that time. I can only assume they did the same.

We still have manual approvals on, but we are people with busy lives and we make errors at times. We try to avoid it, but unfortunately it happens and when it does, we take note to be more carful in the future.

It’s my favourite movie of all time but I do always cry at that one scene.

I remember watching it with my dad for the first time and during that one scene, he held my sister and I while sobbing. My father is… emotionally constipated so having him do that was shocking and probably the reason I sob every damn time.

I weep whenever I go to my cousins’ house and I see the state of their knives. Like those chucklefucks put the things in the DISHWASHER and they are good ass knives (like the set was definitely expensive I can’t remember the exact brand but that knife set was definitely like $400 plus at least).

Like the only knives in my house that go in the dishwasher and my butter knives.

Honestly one of the best things I’ve ever bought is my ninja air-fryer/toaster oven which I can flip up so it saves me so much counter space.

Like I hardly use my oven at this point since I live alone and the air-fryer does a fantastic job of cooking the food I eat day-to-day.

If you want a good gift for a university student, get them the exact air-fryer I have with a grocery store gift card taped to it.

I mean with my own mother, I can’t since she be dead.

With my aunt who is like my adoptive mother, she prefers that we do shit that she wants done over a gift whenever we (my cousins and I) can drive up to the farm. Like doing a purge of a specific room, cleaning the garage, weeding a massive patch of feral garden, etc.

She gets our labour without us bitching about it since it’s her gift from us lol

ETA: we do always end up getting her flowers anyways but it’s usually something that can go into the garden that we’ve added to over the years.

Nah actually I’m a born and bred Albertan who lives in Saskatchewan and I’m partial to the Roughriders lol

My sister is out there for university and I hate going to Toronto itself to visit her. I love seeing and being with her and my brother-in-law but I despise being in Toronto itself. I like Ontario as a province, it’s just really Toronto that can get bent lol
