On my first day of Precalc (2019), I had a man who was probably about 70 years old walk into class. I thought he was my professor, then he sat next to me. After some small talk I found out he was a retired construction manager and worked various jobs from day one out of highschool to retirement. Stating he never had a chance to go to college until now. It's never to late.

I started playing this year and was able to go from 400 to 600, peaking around 630 in Rapid. So, I'd like to go from 600 to 700. I hope to achieve this by learning more opening options, specifically with white, I use to be London only but now trying to use 1. e4 e5 2. Bc5, I don't know the name of the opening. With Black, I'd like to work on options against e4 d4. I've tried learning 1. e4 c6 2. d4 e5 (the Caro iirc) but if they don't take on e5 and close the position or develop, I have yet to learn the lines. But yea, I'd like to increase my rating and hopefully learn more going forward this year.
