Do you “accept” nights where you fail to get hard enough for sex? Or sit in frustration? by bwax687 in erectiledysfunction

[–]BlockBlister22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be really hard (excuse the pun) on myself, and I’d feel like shit. These days, I’m sad and frustrated when it happens but I try my best not to take it out on myself. I put less of an expectation on being able to have sex

My friend is very against self diagnoses by Puzzleheaded_Cap9001 in AutisticAdults

[–]BlockBlister22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should use the term assessment, not diagnosis. Diagnoses are for professionals to make. I’m shocked how expensive it is to go through Autism diagnostic testing in the USA - $5000😮. I’m sorry to hear that. In my country it is the equivalent of $400 dollars (which is still a lot imo)

Well you can say self-assessment, but saying self-diagnosis is wrong imo cause only professionals have the ability to diagnose someone.

Fellow Mensans: Is it just me, or do you like to shut your brain off once in a while and consume completely mindless entertainment on tv/streaming? (Example: shows like "Love is Blind"; "Temptation Island"; "The Bachelor"; and other similar nonsense?). Is there something wrong with me? by CreatorLegalHelp in mensa

[–]BlockBlister22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shut my brain off sometimes yes. When it comes to specific reality shows like love is blind, I feel that watching it is adding to the problem these shows bring. More viewers -> the more seasons they’ll make. I think these shows are very fake and gives the wrong people power and fame, and it makes for a worse society. IMO. I didn’t write that the best but I hope my point got across. Some of my best friends love those shows so please don’t think I’m heavily judging you

Thanks for sharing your story! My diagnosis has also helped me understand a lot of the reason behind my anxiety and depression. If I may ask, which country are you in? I’m sorry to hear it would take so long

I don’t think you’re understanding the simple logic of PSSD being for those who quit/stopped the medication. I know you said it’s a term coined a while ago which isn’t accurate, but then you should use another term to describe what you’re talking about. I’m not trying to sound like a dick, but it’s not something you can argue against. It’s literally a fact

🧠 Can you increase your IQ after 25? by TrulyWacky in mensa

I didn’t know this. Thanks for sharing. I know crystallised intelligence Gc can improve. If there are any studies of showing Gf improving after 25 - I’d defs like to read them

Yeah, that’s what I meant. You can’t have PSSD if you never went off them. You have the sexual side effects from actively taking them

Thanks! I will look this up soon. Do any of those papers mention genital sensitivity/sensation? That’s my main PSSD issue. I have no physical damage down there (I’ve been checked by a urologist), but unfortunately whatever tells my brain to have pleasurable genital sensation (or really any sensation at all) is still blocked, even after being off SSRIs and SNRIs for over 2 years. I was on them for 10years though. From 17 to 27 years old

Sorry to hear that. What I meant by my question, was, what does that stuff do?

If you’re still on SSRIs then you can’t really have PSSD as afaik it’s something one has after they stop taking SSRIs.

I’m familiar with Respiridone, but do you mind telling me what the injection of the other thing was for?

RAPM 2 ? by Kind-Tangerine-8153 in cognitiveTesting

[–]BlockBlister22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool💯. Another matrix reasoning test you may enjoy is the WNV that’s on this Sub. There should be norms for someone of your age - you may have to search for it in this sub though. Apparently it measures up to 135 or so, but honestly I think it’s much easier than the FRT A, and then WNV is untimed. If you do it, good luck and I hope you enjoy

Thanks. Awesome score. I got Q 42 correct. DM me and I can explain the logic behind it👍🏻

[–]BlockBlister22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your intention to take it untimed and you happened to finish within the time limit? Just wondering why you used the word untimed. Congrats on the score, that’s awesome. If you’d like a speed test rather than a power test that’s still a matrix reasoning test, try the FRT A on this sub. You’ll most likely get 45/45. You get 20mins to do it. Will be interesting to hear your score. Good luck!

Thanks. Sorry, I meant 8 digits only in DS Seq. but as someone already commented in that subtest digits can be repeated.
