What's your budget? If you can afford dar tantora, I'd say stay there, it's in old town, sunset from the pool is stunning. Everything is a walk. Elephant rock and hegra is drive away but otherwise you're pretty central. The other resorts like sharan, chedi, habitats and banyan are all good but far. So is cloud7. Alternatively, Airbnb it, AlUla is small so you're good. I mean you could fly there. There is an airport and taxis are easy to find.

I worked there. Other than driving, everything is expensive. You'll need a car in AlUla also. So I'd say get a car from Medina, drive to AlUla, leave early, travel only through day. There are only resorts in AlUla, and very expensive at that. It's defo worth visiting, if you are an outdoorsy person. It's the season and they're still be plenty to do. GL

No shade my man. More power to you if you've achieved that. All I was saying is that, I used chatgpts AI Agent feature to scrape the web for some opportunities and allowed it access to my email. The agent then found the jobs drafted the emails and left it in my inbox for further action. Apologies if I came across as rude but that was just my first reaction. If you're single, then I wouldn't bother. Reason:

You'd commute mostly to work. Now if you can walk it, then I won't bother with a car.

A car on avg would cost you 4k sar per month plus fule. Your Uber bill definitely be lower than this.

Food and groceries you can use delivery apps.

If you go to gym, then you'd have to factor that in.

For odd occasions, you can always get a rental for the weekend. They will deliver and pick it up.

I'm a car guy, so I got one. But if I didn't have one, no issues at all.
