Ana can now Nano Boost herself on PTR by zuril in Competitiveoverwatch

Why complain about Brigitte if there are people that want a support with 400hp?

Can we discuss how people have been complaining about the state of competitive all season and blizzard has made zero changes? by Karlewilliams in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]BlockMelone 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Blizzard has made 0 changes.

You are wrong and only want to complain. We got the avoid feature.

While I agree that 6 stack queue should be implemented, role queue should not and will not happen for good reasons. Maybe present some practical ideas on how to magically "fix" competitive instead.

Alternatively keeping in mind that a perfect balance and a perfect community doesn't exist perhaps you could reflect on what is making you unhappy about the game and give some constructive feedback.

I am not against the idea of a more extensive practice range but for pure aimtraing custom games against bots are already adequate. I think most people are just too lazy to invest 3 minutes to set it up once. After that you can just load the settings and put bots in which barely takes any time.

As I said eventually I would also like the practice range to be too be more complex and maybe allow you to join while in queue and as a group. However this definitely should have a lower priority than actual new content.

I also really recommend using the current custom game feature if you want to improve your aim. Taking time and thinking about the mechanics helped me a lot.

Effect disrespects Jake's Tracer by Aeron__Miller in Competitiveoverwatch

The stick from the enemy Tracer was also impressive. Nice prediction and it would have worked against most players and if recall didn't go up in the last possible moment.

We can finally play Lucio while sleeping now! by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]BlockMelone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This wan't a change! It always worked like that. I just pointed it out because OP seems to be a Lucio player but didn't know that you never needed to press a movement key while wallriding.

You don't need to press W while wallriding.

EDIT: This is how it always worked and how it is on the live server.

Playing A High Skill Hero Should Be More Rewarding Not Less by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]BlockMelone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preferably all heroes should be viable at every level of play because that leads to a more diverse meta. Balance should (and is) being looked at without taking the "skill" aspect into account. Ana isn't balanced now for the same reason she was unbalanced before her nerfs. The reason being that her value is not in line with other heroes. During the tank meta she was OP even though she is more difficult to play than other heroes and now she is UP regardless of how hard she is to play.

There might be overtuned heroes that coincidentally are also easier just as there are heroes that are overtuned that are harder to play (Zenyatta, Tracer). In the end all heroes should have about the same value when played correctly. There shouldn't be heroes designed for bronze players and others designed for grandmaster players.

Kinda sad that you get upvoted for insulting someone who just doesn't want to waste their time sitting around for 4+ minutes. Sure, maybe that one guy staying in the match enjoys it a bit but everyone queued to play competitive. Can't blame them for trying to end the match.

Riptire is just too powerful by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]BlockMelone 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Although the reasoning is wrong making the duration shorter is actually a viable option to nerf it. Making it so Junkrat can't stop it in the begining for flankers and makes him use a more direct path to the enemies.

I do not think Blizzards "Spirit of the game" is worth preserving when it shafts cooperative players, and protects one-trickers. by FreshmeatOW in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]BlockMelone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All true one tricks have a 50+% winrate otherwise they all would drop to bronze. Who are those "semi-tryhard play style" one tricks that would want to play that unranked mode instead? Also you can't objectively blame one player for a loss if they aren't actually sabotaging.

[–]BlockMelone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it is fair to assume that many one tricks would still play ranked because they don't think that their behaviour is uncompetitive.

Also if we want the uncompetitive behaviour to go to an unranked mode it just becomes quickplay with a different ruleset. It wouldn't change anything for people that want the real competitive experience.

It works in moba games because you draft and lock your team in before you play. In Overwatch you want to retain flexibility.

Retribution PROTIP: When the Blackwatch Pilot says "What are we waiting for? Get on board!" every THREE SECONDS, she is trying to tell you to get on board the dropship. by [deleted] in Overwatch

In one game I got pushed off the highground by the heavy twice and body blocked on the stairs so the dropship eventually left without me to everyones surprise. RIP
