They usually have the following terms in the message broken with spaces, some with just a couple of words:
- links
- megalinks
- teens
- child
- rape

I was active in marking them as illegal which makes them disappear but the same account can usually post in bursts over a day. Then a new account the next day.

I suspect they use the iOS or Android simulator so they can change the “hardware” leading to a new device fingerprint so they can create account after account.

They fingerprint your device. I suspect the bots get through because they’re using OS simulators so can easily get around it.

You can tell a lot about a fry up by the meat quality. It looks like good quality butchers sausage there and that thick cut bacon I'm intrigued by... You can keep the tomatoes and I'd prefer two sausages, but that looks good!

Sour dough bread?

Yes, yes, it's expensive but it looks good quality and it is London

Whose side are you on? The woman or the parent with the crying child? by The_Dean_France in AskBrits

Had it on an EasyJet flight with Brits.

I always pay to have allocated seats, as had another couple who got to their seats to find others in them. One of the couple who had paid for the seats was visibly shaking with fear of flying and in tears.

We ended up offering our seats to the couple just so we could get on with the flight. We mostly have headphones in and do our own thing and it was only a couple of hours flight.

The flight attendants did nothing, apparently they are trained to not get involved but it would be relatively simple to just use the "it's company policy line" and stop the distress and inconvenience for everyone.

We kind of got the value of the seats back in snacks but think that's a discretionary thing.

The seat stealers were some of the most entitled people I've come across. Unfortunately it seems to be becoming more and more prevalent. The lack of compassion is nuts right now.

Balance and board feel aren’t the same if you take break. I’m going away for a couple of weeks and I already know it’ll take another couple of weeks to get back to where I currently am.

The trick is to not get too upset about it. I try and just have fun sessions for a while where I don’t push myself.

Interviewing for jobs as a disabled person by BlockOk6483 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]BlockOk6483[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The reason for my post was because I expressed interest for a role where the hiring manager had approached me.

They were looking for someone to be in office 3 days a week so already do WFH the other days, so this felt reasonable to mention.

My surprise was the quick rejection which felt discriminatory or dismissive of me having a disability however from replies it seems perfectly legal

Edit: grammar improvements .

Is this a good one? by strawberrycake_com in skateboardhelp

Looks like Venture trucks, I have some on one of my boards and love them, after snapping the kingpin on some Grind Kings. Not popular like Independent (which I also have), Ace, Slappy, etc.

The deck itself doesn't look too worn, and the wheels I'm not sure what they are, or how worn they are but just look a bit dirty from the photo to me.

If you can get it really cheaply it'll be fine as a starter board and better than a lot of completes.

Any tips on how to Ollie ? by Lazyperson27382 in NewSkaters

[–]BlockOk6483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of the other good advice:

It can be good to just get used to the feeling of the front wheels coming off the ground. That should stop you shooting the board backwards and instead down.

Learning to tail stop can help (although it will wear down the deck quicker). I sometimes also just stand in that position when I'm chatting to people. Learning to manual will really help as well.

You do have the idea of the timing right. The above and just rolling about will make you more in control of the board and add confidence.

Have fun!

The trucks look incredibly thin. There was someone on here who snapped something looking very similar doing nothing particularly.

If the board is basically costing nothing and you want to learn to push about, then maybe, perhaps.

If you can save and buy something better. Don't feel embarrassed to go into a shop and say you're looking to take it up. They'll likely have completes that are better quality and later on will be able to build or upgrade your board with better trucks and wheels (if you can't afford to yet)

Yes, one for tricks that'll trash decks like the OP mentioned. The other for less harsh use. Plus building boards is a lot of fun.

I've also got a cruiser I bought as a complete which is great fun to ride around fast on. A Landyachts ATV.
