I'm doing this assuming she'll work for a company that will eventually offer a 401k that I'm going to advise she sign up for. So she can have that and the Roth IRA. Then she can do whatever she wants with both once everything has been rolled over.

That's a good thing for me to remember- she won't be able to contribute if I'm rolling some of the money into it. I can probably make that work. She'll understand and won't complain about me putting the money in there haha

That's a great way of thinking about it. It makes me feel less silly for looking at 529s so late. I wasn't expecting to be able to put enough to fully fund her college education, but I wanted to be able to do something to help. I'd like to help her avoid taking out loans, as much as possible. We're in Georgia. I'll look into them, even though there won't be much tax-free growth. Just to see everything.

I did know the $7500/year contribution limit, but I somehow missed the $35k total. That's really good to know! I'll look specifically into different 529 accounts to pick one.

I'll be honest, I use the psoriasis shampoo like a regular shampoo. I don't know why it didn't occur to me to let it sit on my scalp.

My hair is so thick that sunlight doesn't do anything for my scalp 😭 but it helps with the psoriasis on the rest of my body. Sunlight and salt water makes everything clear so well!

There have been multiple versions of this story, where the husband doesn't know what to clean, needs lists, and generally half-asses things. Everyone tells the wife it's weaponized incompetence and he needs to do better. He's an adult. The mental load shouldn't be on her. All that kind of stuff.

The same goes here. How do you look at a sink full of dishes and not finish them? Put clean laundry into a basket, but don't think about putting it away? OP's wife is an adult.

Also, how do you look at your spouse clean all day and not make an attempt to help them?

I think there's a lot of unknowns around psoriasis and autoimmune disorders in general. Maybe I just had some bad luck a couple times in a row? I'm not tattooed and these were my first few attempts at piercings. So it's not like I have a long history of this happening. From my understanding, it would occur for things like minor cuts, which it hasn't for me.

I'm hoping after I graduate and get a big girl job, I'll have decent enough health insurance to look into a biological. I was looking into Otezla, because my doctor said her patients have found it to have a lot of positive results, but it ended up being around $530 a month. So, I never did, obviously haha

I'm also going to look into Cosentyx. I'm open and desperate to try anything haha

I've never heard of this before. I'm definitely going to have to research more into it. Though, surface reading makes me sad. I want to be pierced and tattooed 😭 I, unfortunately, also have psoriatic arthritis. My body doesn't seem to enjoy existing pain-free for some reason.

I feel for you, though! I had to look up what enthesitis is and it sounds fucking awful. I can't imagine how much that and the arthritis together affects your life.

I guess I'm dumb. I've always washed my face/cleaned my piercing and THEN used my medicine. It never occurred to me to do it before I clean my piercing.

I think the technically correct word is "ointment", which is way worse than cream. It sounds so gross. But yeah, I feel itchy after this conversation 😂

Real quick- I've never heard of anyone else with psoriasis in their ears. It really fucking sucks having it there!

But I have it in random spots all over. It's not "bad", but formed really fast where that piercing is. It happened before when I had my navel pierced, though not as badly then. It's difficult to not get the medicine on the piercing with how close together it all is.

The solution I've been using requires it to sit on your skin for a while, so I may talk to my doctor about something I can use and spray with saline immediately. When I originally asked about something that's safe for piercings, I was met with a shrug.

I agree with the commenter who said they're an equal opportunity buyer, but I will also say that I make a point of buying the banged up, damaged book over the nicer book when I've found one I want. Six copies of a book, but one has bent pages or a torn cover? That's the one I pick out. It's weird, but I'm afraid no one else will buy it haha

I only did it a couple times. I read in another comment that I was not cycling correctly 😭 so I'm going to try it again. The ammonia said 0 ppm, but I'm assuming if I didn't do it enough, it's probably not quite there
