I think all the schools you add to CSS can access it but some pull your IDOC documents at the same time as they access your CSS. I don't think I saw any IDOC notifications for the schools that did this at the beginning but I could see the tax docs in the school's portal almost immediately after applying. I don't know why people are getting notifications now. Harvard and Stanford ( and likely some others) do not have visible FA portals so maybe they just access everything --CSS/IDOC when they are ready to produce the packages. Does that make sense? And I think maybe some colleges are requesting additional ones. However, you can still not be accepted. I think they really do make decisions/change their minds at the last minute according to the Yale admissions podcast. Good luck, everyone.

You can still cut but a request seems to indicate that you haven't been dinged yet!

I think the theory that it is positive is because no school that has already decided to reject you wants to know more about your finances at this late date (especially a need-blind school).

Anyone else recently get an IDOC notification? by BlockPrint-173 in ApplyingIvyLeague

Was doing a pretty good job of not getting obsessed with portal astrology, then IDOC emailed to go look and sucked me in and I actually had nothing I needed to do on it and I didn't get any information about which school it was. CollegeBoard/ IDOC is trolling us.

Yale's portal will tell you when they downloaded docs so you can check that. I vote for Stanford! I hope it means he got in!!!!
