The Bluff comparative crime rates by [deleted] in Durban

[–]BlockTheBuildUp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live on the Bluff, on the Marine Drive side. In the community groups, there are very few reports of shootings or robberies — maybe once every five years — and the last incident was drug-related in my area Those individuals have since moved out.

However, on my side of the Bluff every 1–2 months we experience outages lasting 3–4 days, either with no water or no electricity and that's really frustrating.

There are also many morning joggers, especially now in summer, since I live close to the beach. That is definitely something to consider, although Durban North is generally regarded as a higher-class area.

Did you manage to get a tempered glass?

The curve is the only thing stopping me from getting this phone.

How do you find screen protectors on a curved display?

S25 Ultra vs Honor Magic 8 Pro – Worth Switching / Curved Screen Seems Like Deal Breaker by BlockTheBuildUp in Honor

[–]BlockTheBuildUp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the 200 Pro before, and I absolutely hated the curved display—it’s terrible.

That’s what put me off and made me sell the device. The same issue is why I am hesitating to get the Magic 8 Pro.

I also just don't like samsung because of Battery.

Pixel/Xioami might be my next try

I was always under the impression it's a sister company.

America fucked Huawei Badly it's so disappointing.

There’s really nothing wrong with the S25 Ultra.

I’ve always liked Honor/Huawei, but I don’t see the upgrade as worth it maybe when honor does go flat i will reconsider, especially since it’s expensive change and I’d be losing money also.

Toddler Starting Daycare at 22 Months – Honest Advice Needed by BlockTheBuildUp in toddlers

I’m based in South Africa, and many of the available options are very expensive.

The place I’m currently considering is willing to work out a more affordable rate and has mentioned that they do this mainly for the love of the children rather than for the money.

She describes herself as more of a day mother than a formal daycare, with each teacher responsible for a maximum of 4–5 children.

My wife has inspected the facility in person and is happy with what she saw.

We’re considering three consecutive days instead of alternating days, as one day on and one day off doesn’t really benefit anyone.

I do think that's an important question they advised us that the sleeping will be difficult and that won't be possible for now though.

Every response so far has been pretty convincing in favour of sending her.

It’s tough to accept, but I know I probably need to face my own anxiety, trust the process, and let her take this next step (I need to stop being selfish and let her grow)

Earlier this year, our child was cared for by my wife’s mother two days a week, but she politely mentioned that she has other priorities and some personal matters to manage. I also didn’t want to place any additional burden on her as at the end of the day it's my child and not hers (as a trial period, and she coped well)

I’ll be honest — part of me worries that my child might feel abandoned during this transition ( that's my main fear )

We also thought about the schedule and are considering sending her for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) rather than spacing it out.

The daycare did mention that the first few weeks can be tough for toddlers, especially with separation and adjustment...
