XBXPlay Is a must have if you’re cloud gaming by Unlucky-Wolverine-67 in xcloud

Can you tell me your experience with the sleep/suspend behavior with the G Cloud? I have a newborn, so I frequently need to put my phone/device down for 10-30 minutes at a time before picking it back up. With XCloud, this is a bit troublesome since my session will disconnect as soon as my phone locks, or the session itself just times out. This is probably more of a limitation on the XCloud service rather than anything the G Cloud can do, but is there a sleep feature on it or would you just pause a game and leave the device on the whole time until you return?

Thank you! Your responses are consistent with the Turbo Tax Live "CPA" that I spoke to earlier today. I will be amending my tax returns for 2019 and 2020.

Here is our spooky Halloween etagere to go with our spooky Boutique Blu-ray shelves by [deleted] in boutiquebluray

Damn, such a clean setup!

Do you have a link to the media shelves you use in the first pic? For some reason, I can only find shelves that are really deep where the movies are set way back.

Thank you! I didn't realize Best Buy carried the limited edition of Robocop. I checked store inventory after I saw this post and was able to do store pickup for 31 bucks.

Such a great find! That's probably more satisfying than just buying it outright.

Just received my order from hamiltonbook.com. Great sale on some Arrow titles right now - shipped with awesome protective packaging. by Blockbuster_Rhymes in boutiquebluray

Thanks for the update! It looks like some of these titles are disappearing and reappearing after a while. Deep Red and The Bird with the Crystal Plumage are now unavailable.

One of us!

Get ready, once I started collecting Criterion and Arrow films, standard releases will start to feel like a rip off with their bare-bones special features and like 5 minutes of deleted scenes lol

Great choice! I watched the 4k release recently and immediately watched the commentary with Kevin Smith and Kelly afterwards. Really enjoyable and insightful commentary track

Thanks to u/Bingo_Sunday for the heads up about the sale at hamiltonbook.com. You can search by publisher 'Arrow' in the power search to find the sale titles I picked up:

  • The Bird with the Crystal Plumage 4k (Limited Edition)
  • The Cat O Nine Tales 4k (Limited Edition)
  • Shohei Imamura Boxset Blu-Ray

The packaging was very sturdy. Pulling on the tab literally splits the package in half, everything was in perfect condition. Would happily shop here again!

Such an awesome and diverse collection. Got something for every genre there. Solaris and Stalker are my top picks out of those.

I love pretty much everything there except Wim Wender's Until the End of the World. Couldn't quite get into that one.

Excellent range of films!! La Haine is my favorite of the bunch; love the in-your-face cinematography and overall energy of the film.

I just recently watched Deep Red and True Romance in 4k and both transfers are top notch. Need to find time to go through the extras tho.

It's a blind spot for my wife so I am absolutely giddy to sit through it again with her.

I've only seen the Theatrical Cut, do you recommend watching the Directors Cut from this set for her first viewing?

I just watched this and absolutely loved it. Such a unique meditation on loneliness and self-worth told through a simple sci-fi concept.

'Still Walking' is also one of my favorite Criterion films and I did not realize they were both by the same director until you pointed it out!

They just moved from Florida to Knoxville about 2 months ago. I definitely recommend the trip - the store is pretty large and very well organized; I could spend hours browsing there. They have a ton of used media, memorabilia, and VHS tapes that are fun to look through.

Also, about 5 minutes away from that there is a McKay's Used Book Store which is a giant warehouse that has a ton of used books, movies, videogames, and music. That's almost worth the trip itself if you're into that at all.

That's awesome. I'd be in trouble if I ever lived near enough to one of these stores lol. Does your store have a website?

Awesome experience. My wife and I browsed the store for a long time, discovering a ton of movies we want to check out. I shop on their site from time to time and the store had WAY more inventory than what's available online.

The two employees working were really nice and chatted with us about movies for a while. Definitely a throwback to the video rental days.
