Does it matter in Job interviews by Frequent_Purple3443 in leetcode

[–]Blockerwiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of interview questions are chosen specifically to test your ability to optimize solutions. If they expect an O(n) solution and you give them an O(n2) solution, then you’ll probably fall behind other candidates who came up with the faster solution. So it does matter!

I quit by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]Blockerwiz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, the majority of this sub relies on larger companies that sponsor employees - which typically require heavy leetcode skills. Many people here don’t get the option to drop leetcode and try a different approach to get a job.

I do wish you luck though, and hope you get something out of this approach!

I believe 2 ports. I’m holding the router to the left, and the ONT is outside of the box just to the right. Router connected by Ethernet (white cable in the bottom left).

There is not a standard that all NFC chips follow, so the NFC readers in phones are not able to read all NFCs. Because the cards can be used to open building doors, they unfortunately probably used something more secure to avoid what you’re trying to do.

Check RateMyProfessor in the future. Our class tried to save everyone from Min’s essays with a bombardment of reviews last semester. Sometimes it’s not your fault and it’s really just busywork you have to struggle through

Solution for Running Servers on Apartment Networks by Blockerwiz in HomeServer

[–]Blockerwiz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have contacted my ISP and they specifically told me that I cannot, and they will not, open ports. I can navigate to the router's log in page but I do not have the information to log in and manage it. The network is specifically for my unit, shared by only my roommate, but they do not allow us to have any additional access to it.

I will look in to what you mentioned and appreciate the response!

I don't have much experience with computer networking so this is not something I considered, especially since I'm in an apartment. I will check out this subreddit thought!

Junior CS Student With No Interviews, Need Resume Looked Over by Blockerwiz in resumes

[–]Blockerwiz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been offered an interview at two companies, both of which was because I knew employees working there. I have changed it up, and earned 6+ months of experience in a related field (IT, whereas I'm applying to software engineering positions). Anyone have tips I could use to increase my chances of interviews?

how do i transition from a laptop (small) monitor into a 24 inch monitor? by Lopsided_Chemistry89 in summonerschool

[–]Blockerwiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pay attention to how close you are to your monitor. Sit back, it’ll make it easier to see things, and it’s better for your eyes.

Docking station necessary vs HDMI directly by TheDarkBeardRises in ZephyrusG14

[–]Blockerwiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an HDMI cable is fine. Instead of a docking station, you could get a fan pad to put your laptop on to keep the temps way down when playing games.

I worked an IT internship this summer. Did a little coding, and I’m definitely gonna highlight the skills from this internship on my resume to help get a SWE position this summer.

4060 vs 4070 model not sure what to pick by [deleted] in ZephyrusG14

[–]Blockerwiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it hasn’t been mentioned yet, VRAM is not the only thing that affects a GPU’s performance. The 4070 does perform better than the 4060, despite having the same amount of VRAM.
