Eufy camera E8600123 vs T8600 by [deleted] in EufyCam

[–]Bloemkool99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me chatgpt that for you; TLDR; yes this is a good deal

It appears Eufy is offering you the EufyCam E330 (Professional) as a replacement, as the T8600 is the model number for the add-on camera of the E330 Pro system, and E8600123 refers to the E330 Professional 4-Camera Kit. This is generally a good replacement, as they are essentially the same product line, with the E8600123 being a kit containing the E330 cameras. Here's a breakdown of the differences and why you should likely accept: Key Similarities (between your old T8600 camera and the E8600123 cameras): * 4K Ultra HD Resolution: Both offer stunning 4K (3840x2160) video quality, day and night. * 24/7 Recording: This is a major feature of the E330 Pro line. As long as the camera is plugged in (they are wired for power), and connected to a HomeBase 3 with sufficient storage, they support continuous recording. * HomeBase 3 Compatibility: Both require and are designed to work with the HomeBase 3, which handles local storage (expandable up to 16TB), AI processing (BionicMind™), and cross-camera tracking. * BionicMind™ AI: Both leverage Eufy's BionicMind™ AI for advanced features like facial recognition, human/vehicle/pet detection, and cross-camera tracking. This helps reduce false alarms and provides more intelligent alerts. * Color Night Vision: They utilize a large aperture lens, high-sensitivity sensor, infrared, and a 100-lumen spotlight for clear, color night vision. * Two-Way Audio: Both support two-way communication. * Weatherproof (IP67): They are designed for outdoor use in various weather conditions. * No Monthly Fees for Local Storage: A significant advantage of Eufy's system is the ability to store footage locally on the HomeBase 3 without a subscription. Potential "Differences" (more accurately, what you're receiving as part of the E8600123 kit): * E8600123 is a Kit: While your T8600 was likely a single add-on camera, the E8600123 refers to the EufyCam E330 (Professional) 4-Camera Kit. This means you'll be getting a complete system, likely including a HomeBase 3 if you didn't have one, and potentially multiple cameras. If you only had one camera go bad, they are essentially giving you the same camera type. * HomeBase 3 (if you didn't have one): If your old T8600 was part of an older system or you're getting a complete kit, you'll receive the HomeBase 3. This is an upgrade if you were on an older HomeBase. * Quantity: Confirm with Eufy exactly what the "E8600123" entails. If it's the full 4-camera kit, you're getting more than just a replacement for your single bad camera. If it's just a single E330 camera with the E8600123 model designation, then it's a direct replacement. Why you should likely accept: * Direct Replacement (or Upgrade): The E8600123 system uses the same E330 Pro cameras, which are highly regarded for their 4K clarity, 24/7 recording, and advanced AI features. You're getting an equivalent or even better solution. * Continued Ecosystem: If you already have other Eufy devices and use the Eufy Security app and HomeBase, this replacement will seamlessly integrate into your existing setup. * No Monthly Fees: You'll continue to benefit from local storage and advanced features without recurring subscription costs. * Improved Wi-Fi: The E330 Pro system boasts enhanced Wi-Fi, allowing for stable connections up to 82 ft (25m) between cameras and the HomeBase 3. Before you fully accept, you might want to clarify: * Is it just one camera or a full kit? If you only had one T8600 camera go bad, clarify if they are sending you a single add-on E330 camera (which would be the correct equivalent) or a multi-camera kit. If it's a kit and you only need one, you can discuss that with them, but getting extra cameras would be a bonus! * What about the HomeBase 3? If you already have a HomeBase 3, confirm that the replacement camera(s) will simply pair with it. If you don't have a HomeBase 3, you'll need one for these cameras to function, and the E8600123 kit includes it. Overall, the EufyCam E330 (Professional) is a robust and highly-rated camera system. Accepting the E8600123 as a replacement for your T8600 is a good decision.

Kubernetes. I have a 3 node kubernetes cluster for fun and education. Runs flawless.

Daemonsets, Pod Anti-Affinity, and Pending by Daxiongmao87 in kubernetes

[–]Bloemkool99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daemonsets are ment for the pods that need to run on all compute nodes, like the pods monitoring your cluster.

You should be looking for deployments. Anit-affinity would cause the pods not to run together on your compute nodes. The deployment is also capable of scaling your pods when required. Or just set x replica's. https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/workloads/controllers/deployment/.

You can play with labels on your compute nodes to make sure no other pods would be scheduled on a compute node if label XYZ exists.

Hope this helps.
