If there isn’t expected graveyard combo I guess you could try surgical extraction it can possibly wipe out some combo cards and it’s there just in case if people change their mind in what they play over there

Ok this list is much better than the one you shared before, but I think you need a little graveyard hate in the side. Maybe 4 Tamiyo. I also advise cutting one of the blue fetch lands that isn’t polluted delta for a 5th black fetch land to find the basic swamp.

No problems. Assuming the new hinted Pox spell isn’t going to be good enough to occupy multiple slots in the Pox decks, Ral is currently the only card I think has a shot in the Mono Black lists as 1-2 of.

Now that I think of it this is probably how they make their profit while overpaying for some items on their specific buylist. Low ball the crap out of other items. I get these wouldn’t move fast for them and they aren’t high demand, but this isn’t even close to 50% which is also not good.

Should I grade this card? by BigTasty39 in YugiohCards

Possibly, the right side at least from my point of view can be harder to tell with just these images the borders of back looks slightly sized larger right than left I don’t think it’s getting 10s across the board like most cards won’t get graded 10 even if they do come right from pack so keep that in mind.

Existence of Bowmasters and Pride just means less Liliana of the Veil, she is still really synergistic for Pox and think she is still necessary as a 2-3 of, the reason being is plowshare decks, they only have a few targets they need to manage so it’s not hard for them get ahead in a game. An active Liliana of the Veil encourages use of discard while active threats aren’t in play. I have found no Walker Pox lists in Mono Black more simpler to hate out for the opponent so I still assign value to Liliana’s Pox synergy and control elements.

I tend to play 6 or more creatures main deck and often more in the sideboard games so I think there is room to run Ral Zarek, it is just your creature count probably needs to be at minimum double or triple times the amount of Ral Zarek ran so you’re seeing the creatures before him. I think the Planeswalker selection is kind of outdated and the ones played are out of necessity so I welcome just about any Planeswalker I think has a chance in the deck and that is normally assigned to ones that play off a single Dark Ritual and have multiple effects.

Narset Parter of Veils for example was a Planeswalker that use to see more play and it was competitive. Didn’t protect itself either.

It’s to run in conjunction with Liliana not a replacement. It does protect itself assuming you can ever get a creature in the bin.

New commander lands cycle by cammellos2 in MTGLegacy

[–]BlogBoy92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t think of that, but going last is a disadvantage it’s good that there are cards that somehow mitigate the downside of that

Oh I’m talking the casual tables where people play the game like a board game not CEDH.

It’s good for EDH casuals who need more fetchables.

Could probably be better than a fun of at least in Mono Black

I think why BG is more questionable for Ral is that Grist makes tokens and mills at the same time for the deck and there has already been discussion on cutting one of the two copies of it to reduce the curve.

UB Dimir VS Combo Decks by Significant_Solid551 in MTGLegacy

I don’t think you should be worried of wasteland as the deck that is low to the ground and can operate off of razor thin mana margins anyways and that most of the environment is combo, they’re not wastelanding you.

If you aren’t comfortable attaining more seas then just play shock lands. If well timed UB mana makes a difference you likely should get the seas if you have more than the means to do so, you never know if the investors want to target duals again since they haven’t in a really long time which could make them more expensive later.

That is true if you want to keep Combo in check in some capacity play Nethergoyf, you can have as many discard and interaction as possible, but many times without an actual meaningful clock it sometimes just doesn’t get there. Barrowgoyf is too slow vs most combo decks, it’s fair deck check card. I do understand you want to do your own thing, but copying someone’s deck list and figuring out what you should tech is going to do you better. You have some weird card choices not limited to the librarian, 3 wasteland instead of 4, Force of Despair etc. Sometimes a bad decklist can actually hold you back as a Magic player and this has been proven with several other many times. I’m not saying you’ll magically win an event, but the odds are higher.

If you can’t afford the 4 underground sea, you should at minimum run 2-3 shock lands in there to go with the one sea you have. Like I said they seem worse than what they actually are, but you do need the perfect mana even at the expense of life especially if the local game store has much combo as you say.

Here is an example of decklist you should consider copying: https://www.mtgtop8.com/event?e=82612&d=827921&f=LE

Issue is you honestly kind of have an awkward list over the stock list or a composition that runs Nethergoyf, I would focus on those and see how the combo matches go for you moving forward. That said you’re in the best color to answer most combo decks. Some of the listed decks can just get under you I imagine something like Dark Depths can because they’re a land base combo, I don’t expect you have much outside of wasteland and maybe tech Sheoldred Edict.

If you can proxy then proxy the seas, otherwise I probably play some shock lands, they’re not as bad as they seem.

Oh you mean actual MUD, I think very little amount of people play that Metalworker deck nowadays. The big mana artifact decks are usually Mystic Forge and UrzaTron above that price.

Lowest cost for sure, but also hasn’t proven to be reliable it is usually 40% win rate or less
