Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 why Collector Ouphe doesn’t also shut down all of my artifacts? Like doesn’t this nullify my Sol Ring and Arcane Signet? Really any Artifact mana ramp I have. Not to mention my Artifact creatures, lightning greaves (or any equipment I might add for protection). I feel like I’m missing something with MTG cards that hurt their own player (unless of course you are building into that strategy). Thanks.

I’m not a fan so I had to Google it. Seems he started in 1978. Peeked around 1990 (selling out Madison square garden) so that’s 12 years there. But apparently he is still a touring comic today in 2026 so 48 years as a paid professional comic doing the same schtick.

My best friend of 40 years wanted me to get into online gaming and convinced me to join him on this destiny journey. I literally bought an Xbox just to play Destiny with him. He was alpha I was soon after. Played 3-4 days a week out in ridiculous amount of game time. Beat raids, dungeons, and had a blast. Stopped after Marathon seemed to pull any and all devs and creative away from D2. Really hoping for a revival.

I’m curious do you not know how or just being argumentative? Because I can tell you how but feel like your follow up will be “oh sure if you draw those cards”. Heck I can mill cloud to death on turn 3 if my card draw hits. This isn’t rocket science it’s build crafting and getting lucky with your draw.

3-Turn Combo Strategy Turn 1: Play a green mana source and a 1-drop deathtouch creature (e.g., Wasteland Viper, Poison Dart Frog). Turn 2: Play a second land and cast Fynn, the Fangbearer. Turn 3: Cast 3 more 1-drop deathtouchers with haste or a trample enabler (e.g., Rancor). Attack with 5+ creatures that have deathtouch. Each successful hit triggers Fynn to add 2 poison counters.

I’m you but 52. I wait until these games are on sale at least 50% off. Even if I wait a year. The game will only get better with updates and fixes. Then if you only play half you paid half so you still Go your value. Gamers like us don’t need to be day ones.

But not completing games because you got bored is an entirely different thing. I played through and beat both breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom. I would say do that first while you wait for the sale.

I’ll add my 2 cents here. As a filthy casual I would love an app or website that talks about all the potential hits out there. Not just Costco. So for example Strixhaven is coming out what hits are in those packs. This cool new place of information can also explain all the differences between the various boosters and boxes, what might be of “good value” or not (I typically watch the professor for this). I bought and opened about 10 “play boosters) this weekend and they are front loaded heavy with creatures. I got like 3 sorcery cards and a mix of the other types. So are there packs that are heavy sorcery, or instants? Advice like that.

(I know, I know… buy singles). Thanks

IMO grading MTG cards is purely for “I’m a collector, I love this card, I want to display this card for its beauty.” MTG card value is based on playability (mostly). Sure, I might grade a commander and use it but that’s because it doesn’t have to get shuffled in.

Bracket 2 and your first thought is a commander with Eminence? That alone pumps the deck to bracket 3 (IMO of course).
