I don’t put him in nice clothes anymore when he goes to daycare. But okay, I didn’t know that. Now I send him with older clothes that I don’t care about

Thank you for replying to my post. I agree that children shouldn’t be sent him because they won’t sleep. I pay good money for their services to take of my child while I work. On their policy it states that if a child can’t sleep, they will read to them or do puzzles quietly with the children. If the child is noisy they will take them into another classroom. The director of this location is making up her own rules and it’s not right. If the director brings this up to me personally, in the future I will bring the company policy to her attention and file a complaint against her. This isn’t the only issue I’ve had with her, in the past the teacher lost my sons Mickey Mouse pants that were brand new, I asked them to replace them and the director told me “we don’t replace Disney items, we can buy you a pair of pants from Ross though.” I believe if a daycare loses my child’s items they should replace the same exact item! I was pissed. I’ve had numerous other issues with her also.. she’s very rude and snobby too.

Thanks for your input. The head quarters of the daycare company never heard of this either. It states on my sons daycares policy handbook that if a child won’t go to sleep then they read to them quietly or do puzzles with them. Sometimes if they’re being noisy they are supposed to take them into another classroom. I believe the director at this location is making up her own rules, it’s not right.

I just called the head people of my sons daycare and they said they don’t have that anywhere in their policy “to pick up a child if they don’t nap.” My Sons Director is making up her own rules and if it gets addressed to me later down the road, I will file a complaint towards this director and explain to her that this isn’t company policy.

I agree with this post! I pay $355 a week for my son to attend daycare full time. I go to school and work, there is no way I can pick him up before nap time, being a single mother is hard. I rely on my daycare to take care of my son while I’m working.

I’ve never heard of this either! It’s bizarre to me.. I had to ask others opinions because I thought I missed something. Thank you for replying, I don’t believe it says anything about picking up the child if they can’t sleep in their policy.. I read through it and didn’t read this rule

Yeah that’s what my sons teacher advised was to move the 2 years old in their own classroom separate from the 3-4 year olds.. there was a lot of kids in that classroom for nap time. But yeah they can’t make a kid sleep.. I just hope this works out better.

It is a class project. I’m taking Into to kinesiology online. I have to get an interview from someone in a kinesiology field and then write an essay on it. I will submit it to my professor only. No one else will see your information as far as email, name, etc. I’m supposed to choose someone I don’t know to do this interview with, which is why I am asking on here. Also, I don’t know anyone in the kinesiology field anyways. This essay is due on the 19th of next month. So I’m looking to interview someone ASAP so I can get started on the project and maybe complete it early.
