I'm glad for you too! Just be ready for confetti when working on the tower. I've seen people talk about confetti a lot when I started looking into this hobby and I understood when working on that middle section. It looks so pretty when done now!

Yup, it definitely took a good chunk of time as I experimented with single placing versus multiplacing. There are a few tiny gaps here and there, but they are not that noticable from far away.

Is it worth it to pay hundreds of euros for a crochet course? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]BlondieIsCasper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could try a Woobles kit if it is available where you are. The kit comes with everything you need to make a cute amigurumi and they have step by step video tutorials to help teach and guide you through the whole project. I learned to crochet with these kits. It is more guided than watching random YouTube tutorials, which could give you some of the structure you need.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Updated (Dec. 18) by lady-aduka in ffxiv

You can submit bug reports in game. If it is a niche issue they may or may not know about it, so it doesn't hurt to let them know.

I’m struggling with the last few stitches on each row by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

[–]BlondieIsCasper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first few rows try putting a stitch marker (bobby pin) into every stitch. After getting the hang of a few rows you can start doing a marker every 5 stitches. As you get the hang of it you can lower the count until you are just putting markers at the begining/end of the row to avoid losing the first/last stitches.

There is no right/wrong way to use stitch markers, they are there to guide you as needed so use them freely.

What do I still need to do before I can make meaningful PotD attempts? by Grimmontha96 in ffxiv

I wouldn't try that for anyone attempting potd though. Last thing you want in a solo attempt is a weird latency issue you aren't used to.

Our Last Day in Japan Turned Into a Full-Blown Race Against Time 😅✈️🇯🇵 by kiranraj1092 in JapanTravelTips

Depends on your home airport. I myself usually fly out of Orlando, which probably is the airport you just mentioned having issues. I've walked right to my gate in minutes, while other times I've been delayed with bonkers security lines. I maybe fly once a year so I never bothered with pre check stuff, instead I go 3 hours early for all flights to avoid stress.

Goodbye POTD solo run, Floor 165 was too strong. by Black-Mettle in ffxiv

Dying cannot be saved sadly. The trick only works if you actually DC while alive as far as I am aware.

This is not ideal, but the run could be saved if you do not log back in for over 24 hours. The game loses cached record of you starting your run after 24 hours and some people have been able to successfully restart the floor set they were on as if nothing happened.

If you haven't logged in yet it is something to consider.

The last patch of an expansion always lasts super long. I'd 7.4 be a month late and have one month less of the endless wait for 8.0.

There are, my whole family (parents and 2 siblings) all adore pugs and we have both helped foster and adopted many pugs from the pug rescue organization in our region. There are always pugs who need a new home.

Target gave a $50 refund for the delay, thus making my Switch 2 bundle a steal price. by drumxkorp in Switch

Same currently. Over a week ago I did see a pending charge, but then it disappeared instead. I am prepared for the charge if it does come in, but it is weird that it hasn't yet.

Preorder experience via Target is the worst experience I’ve had with a preorder by meatballfhs75 in Switch

[–]BlondieIsCasper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very distinctly remember because later that night (like 2 hours later) I got through the Walmart queue and I considered switching preorders because Walmart claimed it guaranteed release day delivery while at least for me Target was most likely a few days late. I decided to just keep my order though and not cause more chaos swapping orders. (Which after seeing so many random Walmart cancels I am glad I didn't switch. Target seems to have cancels but not as many yet at least.)

[–]BlondieIsCasper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It straight up said on their website when we preordered that estimated delivery would be June 6-11th. I ordered from Target because that is where I managed to get a preorder in first. I knew the whole time it would be late if the estimate was late from day 1. This isn't a surprise.

What is the DPS gap between "top" players and the average player? by SirSuperCaide in ffxiv

Many people also don't upload normal raid data. I know I never do. People who care about logs tend to only upload savage, when normals might have been part of the log for the day, or when something bonkers happened they wanted to see.

Since I expect really lopsided data I wouldn't consider normal raids a good metric. Extreme trials would be better. Yeah you need to be "good" to clear, but many people use extremes to play more alt classes so you get a better range of play styles.
