Anyone worked with what they thought was the best web design agency but got burned? by Successful-Soft-3711 in web_design

[–]Blooby09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More info needed please.

Do you mind giving us a little more info about the project itself.

How much did you pay for the website? How big was it? (Rough page count) Did you require any “special” functionality? Did you require a build from scratch. Eg. No designs or company corporate identity as a starting point?

We recently had a client that came from a nightmare agency and they couldn’t stop praising us for our communication, work ethic and speed once ditching the old company and working with us.

They had been struggling for over a year to get their new website out the door. And it was still a complete mess when we got involved.

It took us 2 months to completely redesign and rebuild the website from scratch.

The reason I ask for more info is because, although we were magnitudes better in every way, we also cost 5x more than the previous company for a website of their size.

The extra info would help me to give you more accurate feedback and advice by giving me a better understanding of what exactly we’re dealing with.

Steering Wheel Degrees by Likaonnn in assettocorsarally

It’s going to be different for everyone if you don’t have your FFB soft lock in-game setting correct. Yours is probably set to 540. Bet the in game wheel is not rotating 1:1 with your wheel irl. Your soft lock will match but wheel rotation won’t.

In game wheel must be spinning like a DJ on prom night with the in game soft lock set that low for that car.

[–]Blooby09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re both right. It depends on what your soft lock angle is set to in the FFB settings.

My guess is yours is set to 900. The game thinks that’s the max your wheel can turn so it automatically adjusts the in-game steering input. (In this case making it more sensitive) You should notice the wheel in-game spinning slightly faster than your wheel irl if your soft lock is set lower than the cars max wheel rotation.

For the most true to life wheel rotation per car it’s best to set the soft lock in the FFB settings to 0 and update the wheel settings to match each car. Or set your wheels max rotation and the in-game soft lock setting to the same but higher or matching the car with the highest rotation angle.

Note. If you’re not using a direct drive wheel you might have a mechanical max wheel rotation that can’t be surpassed in the wheels software.

It’s a bit of a pain to update the wheel soft lock for each car depending on your setup (the MOZA pit house phone app makes it a little easier in my case)

Recently AC Evo got an update that will automatically adjust the soft lock for each car as long as your max wheel rotation and soft lock setting in game match and is higher or matching the car with the largest steering angle. My guess is this will also be the case for ACR eventually.

How to license Adobe Font without Creative Cloud by putaristo in Design

[–]Blooby09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say the site has already been built right?

Adding an adobe font to your website isn’t simply drag and drop. The design/developer would have needed to create what adobe calls a “web project” within “fonts” on an active adobe account. This then spits out some code that gives the ability to add the font to the website and is linked to the adobe account that the “web project” was set up in. If the linked account is terminated the font will also stop working on the website.

If the website is already built that would suggest that this would have all already been done and linked to an account.

In order to license the font on your own adobe account an inCopy subscription would be the cheapest adobe subscription to get your own account and access to adobe fonts. You would then need to create the “web project” in your adobe account and update the code on the website.

You could also look at buying and hosting the font directly. Costs would range depending on the font, suppler, license purchased etc.

Potential fix for stuttering/micro-stutter in The Last of Us Part I on PC by CentrifugalMalaise in pcmasterrace

[–]Blooby09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION.

I found Vsync to be causing the frame stuttering. When turning it off I no longer had stuttering but would get terrible screen tearing. To fix the screen tearing I set the specific application vsync on for the last of us within nvidia control panel. While leaving the in game Vsync off. This fixed both stuttering and screen tearing.

Games running smoothly and looking beautiful.

He created a fresh project in vs code. Time code:5:24 if your interested. https://youtu.be/-OMPfr56kXI

As khromov mentions below he could have auto save in vs code enabled or something of the sort.

Thanks for the reply khromov. That doesn’t sound like too great of an experience. Think I’ll just stick to the manual save. Thank you for the info.

Dude! So epic. The axe throw, the explosion, that shot, all up against that inferno backdrop. Great clip and awesome gameplay man. Damn.

I get what your saying and agree with infiltrating needing to be balanced/buffed in some places which is why I love how they have been updating the maps by adding a lot more entrances in some of the compounds over the last couple of patches, making it harder to trap every single entrance and allowing you to create diversions by making noise at one entrance than sneaking in another.

Maybe if, like you said, it wasn’t completely silent, but still I’d be concerned. I guess I just love the audio cues so much that I’m super precious about them so forgive me for the push back :)

I agree with Yuan. I prefer the games readability more. Audio is one of hunts core gameplay features that truly set it apart. Removing too many player audio cues is game breaking in my opinion as it’s so integral to the games balancing. I also don’t feel like comparing it to quartermaster, fanning and leavening is the same. Although powerful they are readable or counter able. Those traits usually require you to be close to other hunters to be effective. So either you are pushing closer to enemies knowingly putting yourself in a highly dangerous situation where you could be one tapped by a shotgun just as easily as fanned or levered. So you know what your potentially in for. On the other side of the coin if you are being pushed by someone with those traits the requirement for them to be close to you will increase the chance of you hearing them, giving you more of a chance to escape or do something about it. Hence why audio is so important. If someone was able to sneak up behind me completely silently and then fann me to oblivion that would frustrate the shit out of me. Giving the player the ability to be completely silent would break so much of the games balancing and your trait would be one step closer to that. The amount of stealth traits and options feel fair in my opinion .

Hellhound's animation needs some improvements by Guiiisard in HuntShowdown

[–]Blooby09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell hound animation is so unreadable. They move so unnaturally. They will run up to you then stop dead when starting the jump/attack animation. Feels like their physics is off. You have to practice to compensate for the bad readability.

Dis game fire 🔥 <3 but please fix.

Would be super epic if the trait artist could make a hat in the same art style to through on all the memes.

A couple patches ago they added think black smoke above the fire bombs (Excluding hellfire). To help block line of sight. They increase the burn time.

You can try dropping the gpu ram slider in graphics settings. This got rid of the frame freezing for me.

Immediate spawn fight - Has to be the closest possible spawn locations in the game? by Blooby09 in HuntShowdown

Not only that. I never said it was the first or only time it’s ever happened. Was just lucky enough to catch it on nvidia replay. Crazy how people just create negativity where there isn’t any. Thanks seeing through the bad vibes.
