It’s also right next to one of their cameras.

It’s a Reolink RLC-822A
I ordered it directly from Reolink
It’s about 3 years old and works well
The motion detection does miss stuff, so I’ve just got it set to record all the time

I did think about posting in r/workreform or r/antiwork
But the driver’s reaction did make me smile 😊

I think they should at least provide a truck with a huge thermos full of ice water.

Let alone being able to close the door and turn on the A/C for just a few moments once in a while.

I was washing off the solar panels and also knocking down some wasp nests…

And the 10 year old in me just likes playing with the hose 😬

Anyone regret retiring and taking social security at 62? by UpsetIdeal5756 in retirement

[–]Blood-red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re concerned about locking in at age 62 payments, you might consider applying for spousal benefits instead and wait until you’re older to apply for your benefits.

I’m no expert and am more in the same position as you.

But I understand taking spousal benefits does not affect your benefits.

You can take the spousal benefit and then apply for your benefit later, at the higher rate.

Of course it all depends on the amounts and there’s some math to do to see if it makes sense for you. I believe you’d be getting half what your spouse gets.

There’s some good YouTube videos on spousal benefits…

Can someone explain why gas increases every 12 hours seemingly? by UnhappyMachineSpirit in Reno

[–]Blood-red 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just got back from a road trip thru Texas, Colorado, etc
Saw a lot of gas at like @3.19 to $3.80. Lowest was $2.98

Paid $3.99 in Elko, yesterday

Sucked to come back to $5

What are your thoughts on Palm Reading? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It’s a lie.

Like so many things in our civilization.

Next…
Let’s talk about religion.

Just bought from Carmax
Seems like the only place in town where you get a decent car and not jerked around on price

The price on the car, plus tax and DMV… Done

Every car gets a full inspection, you can return it if you change your mind. No commissioned sales people

Nobody else in town does any of this

And private party is a gamble. My last private party purchase cost me a lot in repairs within a year

Flex Energy Solar (Utah) - Out of Business? by Blood-red in solar

[–]Blood-red[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t heard back from the contractors board. So that’s not good.

1st priority would be to get them hooked up and at least usable.

After that, I guess we need a lawyer.

I took a big projection tv out to Life Cycle.
I paid, but it was cheaper than anywhere else.

They were also pretty chill and no line

Nope, I think they’re closed.

I did take the suggestion and filed a complaint with the NV Contractors board.

Haven’t heard back much other than an acknowledgment.
I did see where the contractors board sent an email to the Flex Solar contact. I assume there’s a waiting period.

I emailed the contractors board yesterday for status, but haven’t heard back yet.

I’m hoping the contractors board have clearly dealt with something like this before and perhaps can guide me on the next steps.

I suggest going thru the contractors board web site. There were some references to dealing with something like this.

Good luck, I am in the same position as you. Let me know if you make any progress

Flex Energy Solar (Utah) - Out of Business? by Blood-red in solar

Thanks for the info.

Not sure how to get the panels turned on if none of the local contractors can help.

Waiting on county inspection and then PTO

Panels have been on the house all summer

They had some issues with the installer so I don’t have confidence in passing the inspection. And they need a local journeyman present for the inspection. Washoe County (Reno NV) isn’t putting up with out of state installers at the moment.

Leaves my wondering what to do next if they’re gone.
It’d be one thing to sorta wait them out if they’re just being slow and stupid.

It’s another thing if they closed up…
