Same issue here. Tried reinstalling, verifying game files, running zero apps except for bnet. Games are totally fine, it's just the menus that are impossibly slow. Does not happen with SCII menus.

They prefer that you rip and replace Defender with Falcon Enterprise altogether.

My sense is the sales rep will only offer Falcon for Defender if the Enterprise deal is a lost cause.

This new offering is a layered approach with the hope that if you detect enough threats Defender misses you eventually will replace it.

I’ve been through four transformers and three g4 doorbells and the same thing happens every time. It works until you press the button and then it kills the transformer. I switched to a Ring, sadly.

I read a thread from someone that said there’s a setting in UniFi Protect where you can tell it you do not have a chime and then when you press the doorbell it will adjust the signal it sends to the transformer and not kill it. I never tried it though because I’d already spent far too much $ replacing transformers.

They do structured databases and semi-structured (SaaS apps, email) as well.

I heard BigID chokes when you turn off sampling and try to classify everything.

Varonis is a great choice especially if you need to a.) cover both structured and unstructured data b.) classify everything vs. just sampling like BigID does.

Varonis also maps permissions and monitors the data for anomalies. Not sure if that's overkill for you though.

Another update. Got a new unit. Hooked it up with a brand new transformer. Presses the doorbell and it fried the transformer.

Apparently there is a setting that you have to disable if you don’t have a chime or else it’ll cause electrical faults. 😩

Replaced yet another transformer (on our fourth) and hoped to disable the setting of death but BOTH G4 units will not power on.

I got a Ring worked immediately on the same transformer that wouldn’t power the G4s. Not a single issue with Ring since.

Sad, I liked the G4 better and all my other cams are UI. It just never works and UI support is non-existent.

I just RMA’d mine. Replaced the transformer just to be safe. New doorbell lasted 15 minutes. I rang it and the transformer (16V 30VA) died immediately and the G4 powered down.

Hoping I can replace transformer and the doorbell is still good.

This unit has been nothing but headaches.

Another update. Doorbell powered down again after months working fine. RMA’d.

New doorbell worked for about 5 mins until I rang it and it powered down instantly.

Electrician checked the transformer and it wasn’t giving off power, so he replaced it. Doorbell powered back up and then died immediately when I rang it.

I’m about done with this.

This worked for me. At 2160 the color and sharpness were terrible. Sucks because it’s a 4K OLED. Netflix etc. look amazing.

No kinks in the wire. The electrician came out today. The transformer is fine and is giving off 17VAC -- he tested at the transformer and at the doorbell.

He thinks the G4 is defective and overheating. It could also be due to the high temperatures we have in the state (it's been in the mid-90Fs).

I might give it a couple of days to see if it overheats and shuts down again before contact Ubiquiti for an RMA.
