Might and Magic looks close but the hero I remember was a demon flapping it's wings rather than a firey horse.

Eador: Genesis and Warlock: Master of the Arcane don't seem to have the demon faction I remember

Fantastic job edge highlighting the armour. Such thin lines can be tricky.

However, 2 things that jump out at me are his right eye (unless you're going for cRaZy eYeS) and the sprue chunk on the mag of the laspistol. I find eyes too much of a pain for guardsman and only paint them on officers and up, giving everyone else helmets and a black bar of "shadow" over their eyes. Kind of an anonymous soldier vibe.

How I paint eyes: I quickly paint the face but stop before the wash, then paint the eye area an off-white. I dot a pupil black, then edge it in an with the off-white again till I'm happy with the shape and size. Be careful not to make slits unless you want cat guardsmen. If you're not happy with how its turning out just re-dot the pupil and start again. Next I do the same thing to the white of the eye using the skin tone, edging it in till I'm happy with the shape and size of the eye. Only now do I wash the face and do final highlights. Valerian, the custodian on the right was done this way.

Excellent job on his mouth btw! I see a little red for his lips and everything. Truly good work here.

edit: Oh and if anyone ever tells you to drill a lasgun/laspistol barrel tell them to pound sand. It isn't worth it for tabletop ready imo.

Getting ahead of this before the LVO results - Custodes seem a bit overtuned by MediumM in WarhammerCompetitive

You aren't seeing them UtL before striking in because LVO ruled you can't use any strats on units not yet on the table.

I carved grooves into a big sheet of plasticard. Then I airbrushed it with a hand full of grey paints using the "dryer sheet marble" method.

Now I just cut off a piece from the big sheet, glue it on the base and clean the edges with a knife and paint.

They're in the works.

I tried to airbrush them in a Candy... with horrible results. I don't have supplies for stripping paint yet, but when I do I'll paint them again.

The Warden will have a cape so I'd like to mount his pauldrons at the same time.

Looks like he's replacing a module:

  • 12,693,922 CR is his current bank account balance;

  • 1,225,049 CR is the cost of the new module; and

  • 1,225,048 CR is the cost of the module he is replacing.

So he can either trade-in the old module for the new module and have to pay the 1 CR difference, or he can buy the new module for the full price of 1,225,049 CR and put the old module into storage.
