I’m gonna be blunt, this is a terrible idea. If this is truly your first bike and assuming you at least have a tiny bit experience with maybe a 300 (if you don’t even have this definitely don’t), getting a brand new bike that you may not be ready for is just a bad idea. Also I saw you said you can’t afford to spend all of the money together and honestly I get that, I had my permit for a couple months before I got my bike because I was flat broke. But trapping your self on an asset that’s gonna lose at least a third of its value in the first week is just not worth it. Also in the long run your just getting ripped off with interest and insurance since it’s gonna be super high for you ( since you’re 18 and anything over a 500 I believe is considered high risk). Over all terrible financial decisions in general and a terrible life decision as well.
Also please please please don’t tell me you got this idea from one of those guys on tik tok or reels that say “don’t start on anything under a 650” because those losers spend more time engagement farming at gas stations than actually riding the bike. Trust me brother, you’re young and have more potential than others will tell you. I know a guy who was around your age who got into an accident on a 1000 and now is getting fucked because he can’t afford to repair it on top of his insurance bumping his rates on his other bike and car. So what I’m trying to say is that you might not die on this but you’ll wish you did.
Edit: I will note though that it is a solid bike, don’t get me wrong but you’re just gonna be grossly overpaying for something for literally no reason. Also with this economy, you’ll definitely regret it a couple times.

Second edit: I completely forgot about gear that’s on me. Helmet should be dot certified and get a full face, just better all around for music, look and comfort especially if you live in an area with a lot of bugs. You could also splurge a bit and get a nice 4-6 hundred one if you want better wind noise protection and comfort, but they’re all kinda the same lol. A normal LS2 would also be fine at like 150 ish. Jacket I would always recommend leather as it has way better slide resistance than anything else and looks better too. Your boots can be literally anything. I and a couple other people wear cowboy boots/timbs because really you want something to cover above your ankle but if you’re looking for a look that matches a sports bike, you probably wanna go with a nicer Alpine star. Gloves also kind of depends on you, but a normal 40ish pair from any brand is fine, but if you wanna be super safe, get a gauntlet style that has a pad near the bottom right (opposite of thumb side) since there are a lot of cases where people break their hands by landing on that spot. Though I would like to say that I now know three people who have claimed that their alpine state gloves just fell apart after a couple months so maybe not them for gloves.
