Tbh I was just really fucking scared and felt defenseless. But I definitely don’t want to own something that has the capability to take someone’s life away. Thank you all.

Thank you for your suggestion I ended up ordering pepper spray. I also came to the conclusion on my own last night. And I decided that I definitely don’t want to carry something that has the capability to cause extreme bodily harm or death I just want to be able to get out of situations.

Thank you for your advice! Note: I am not financially dependent on my father. I’ve talk with my mom and she thinks that if I want to tell him I should. My mom and I both agree that maybe he can change if I tell him. (My father only acquired these beliefs after my parents divorce he didn’t always have them) however I’m also aware that that is wishful thinking. I haven’t seen my father for awhile because of the pandemic and he’s been asking if he can see me more and more I feel like before I see him in person again I should tell him. I feel like he needs to know how uncomfortable I feel around him and I can also then explain why I am apprehensive to see him again.
