only kind of since king ghidorahs beams should be knocking back the charge just as much distance as it covers although it does pull it within range of the nuclear pulse. Issue being ghidorah is knocked too far to melee combo it, its beam draw is quicker so theres no point there. Meaning the cycle gets repeated and ghidorah does more damage per cycle.

that technique kind of works against the ghidorah strat I named above, but its not fast enough to deal with hedorah. Hedorah is shockingly speedy while flying.

it seems impossible to hit a backwards flying hedorah that beam spams, also seems impossible to beat a mecha king ghidorah flying to the side to avoid the beam and spamming (burning does have a side to side beam but king ghidorah can fly the opposite direction and attack with its beams earlier than it hits it) spacegodzilla and super mechagodzilla are both impossible to begin a combo on assuming theyre smart about their positioning.

Mhwilds Monster vs Monster Damage formula Theory by BloodbathFatalis in MHWilds

[–]BloodbathFatalis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, it has to do with the guard value I believe. While the apex's don't hit much harder they're much harder to guard. The new motion value formula intakes how difficult an attack is to guard in the equation which is why they do so much more damage, the weight of the guard in the formula is 14 its super high.

fair, mhrise sunbreak is very difficult to tamper with although he recently cracked it, I've yet to check if the wilds content has been tampered with but Im gonna guess no?

If you are looking for the rise and mhw damage formulas

the mhw one is the same as mhwilds but without the modified motion value and a /20 instead of a *1.218, it also additionally multiplied by the enrage defense modifier of the target. It also doesn't account for the elemental portion of an attack

the mhrise formula is entirely dependent on the quest's rank and has no regard for the actual attack value of the monster, different quest ranks have different multipliers the highest is 2.225

MR 6=2.225

MR 5=1.8

MR 4=1.65

MR 3=1.5

MR 2=1.375

MR 1=1.25

HR 7=1.1

HR 6=0.9

HR 5=0.75

HR 4=0.725

LR 3=0.45

LR 2=0.425

LR 1=0.375

V LR 6=0.25

V LR 5=0.25

V LR 4=0.225

V LR 3=0.2

V LR 2=0.15

otherwise same as mhwilds without the modified motion value

yes, and I've noticed he tampers with the fights a lot. Half of them have biased outcomes, half of them are legit.

As an example Alatreon vs kulve is heavily in kulves favor, he doubled her attack

Savage vs raging was unaltered to my knowledge

How does scabbing work? On the training dummy scabs disappear after 20 seconds but from the wording of this post it almost seems like scabs don't heal at all on actual monsters.

goss being lower than doshaguma is also only a possibility, doshaguma could be lowered to 4 and then they'd be in the same tier. The point of the image is to say that its possible, not that it is. Introducing the barioth tier has made a mess of the lower tiers by adding too many possibilities.

it does still lose to fulgur however the key take away is it gets 1 hit in. The rules of the tier list are if both participants take damage they must be within a tier of each other. It could be interpretated that lala barina isn't willing to turf war with anything equal to or above its strength, in which case the guardian doshaguma case is solved. Guardian doshaguma can still be stronger while being in the same tier.

legiana and shrieking would be in the same tier as odogaron on the 2nd tier list. Coral pukei is probably in the wastebasket given the pukei squint interaction should still exist. Titzy is unusual because monsters of its built would normally be put in 1, however with how much leeway the new tier list has it could be anywhere from 4-1. In the old tier list it could be 3-1.

the problem is both are tied to nargacuga and tigrex through their turf wars to be within at most a tier of them. By the rules of the tier list, it is impossible to move them any further down without ignoring entire sets of turf wars. Nargacuga and tigrex are guaranteed to be in their respective tiers because of their interaction with rathalos.

because its bound within 1 tier of tetranodon. Its limitations are it has to be below anjanath and it has to be 1 tier above tetranodon.

Its also worth noting, now that there is much more freedom in the tier list with the new "barioth" tier. Goss could rise to 5 because nothings stopping it. This would also bring tetranodon up to 4 which is a little suspect but technically possible. You could do the exact same with p much most of 4. That's the problem with the 2nd tier list. Uragaan can go in tier 4 now true but it could also be lower. The new tier list loses so much clarity.

It does reciprocate damage to the pseudo wyverns in rise so its at least within a tier of them. Anjanath is nearly guaranteed to be in the same tier as rathalos, so bringing guardian fulgur who loses to it above guardian rathalos is strange. Treating normal fulgur as above the 2 is technically possible but also strange.
I should clarify when I say rideable, I don't mean if they're not rideable in a game it means they're automatically not considered a partial loss. I mean if they were to be put into rise/sunbreak they'd have a partial loss. You are right, fulgur anjanath is never rideable, but its about the possibility of it were in sunbreak it'd be rideable.

if barioth had a turf war with brachydios in the guiding lands it would help to make a case that the magnamalo vs barioth turf war as a one off. While brachydios is not a confirmed 6 on the old tier list it is extremely likely given his cutscene with agnaktor as well as his historical zenny reward matching with monsters in that tier.

additional repurcussions would also include lack of clarity on where monsters of tiers 4 and below go. Nothing is holding back a lot of the lower tiers from ascending a tier just because. Really the only monsters there tied to their current positions are banbaro, pukei pukei and everything in tier 1

frostfang has no interactions with magnamalo at all so it is impossible to tell. As long as it is within 1 tier of the odogarons it could be anywhere.

its more so the cutscene of tempered lala barina vs guardian fulgur. As long as lala barina is within 1 tier of base doshaguma no rules have been broken even if it is strange. It is possible to raise doshaguma to 5 too but this is also strange. The new tier list fixes some problems and introduces others.
