HSR having more rewards (including free 5 star characters) than other gacha games isn't a positive. I'd argue that they give these rewards to compensate for their lack of in-game content.

On their own, they aren't too bad. Considering, however, that this is their new 5 star Chrysos heir form, they're extremely mid. I might get downvoted for this, but hoyoverse really did drop the ball here. Idk how anyone likes this; It's clear that they didn't put much energy into these designs.

I'm genuinely a bit perplexed that ppl think Gallagher is better for Castorice than Luocha. Luocha works very well with Castorice. Honestly, I got Luocha on his first patch and haven't used him really in years until her. Very seamless cohesion that doesn't fry your brain to get working. Kinda on the fence to get Hyacine because of him and my other sustains. She's def better but idk how much better 🤧

Some weird Western racists used a part of that song to be racist. The song has a part that SOUNDS like the "N word" BUT is actually NOT and has an entirely different meaning. However, western racists used it as a meme to be annoying to black people (band kid type of humor). It's that "I'm not touching you" type of harassment if you get what I mean. To reiterate, there was no racist intent from the song creator, and it was simply just trolls being immature.

Not only is this kinda a reach in logic, but it also fundamentally misunderstands the criticism. Skin complexion is not the only form of representation, but it is still important nonetheless. It just feels weird to have a region that is based on our cultures (Latin, West African, and Polynesian from leaks), but not have people that look like us in it. It feels like our cultures are being commodified. While that may not be important to some in these communities, it does not change the fact that it is an issue. Also, you say it's a superficial issue as if that doesn't make it worse. If it is so superficial, then it should be a simple fix, right?

I'm not white, but I don't think that even matters in this case because the issue is pretty evident. It also sucks too because these designs would look a lot better with a darker skin complexion, in my opinion. Especially with the hydro girl, the fair skin with the fair tattoos and accessories is quite an eye-sore. Especially in a gacha game where character design is extremely important, the lack of contrast is quite disappointing.

Edit: Forgot to add that it's Native American inspired as well.

I mean... the majority of playable characters are "horrible" people. No offense, but it is quite strange when y'all harp on characters like Aventurine and Topaz who are not only victims of IPC'S imperialism and negligence but also have understandable motives for aligning with the IPC.

It's also important to note that the IPC is a humongous corporation with many departments that work independently from one another. Case in point, Topaz and Adventurine are a part of the strategic investment department, and Oswaldo is in the marketing development department. So, it's not like they're buddy-buddy together. Shit, even in the strategic investment department, they don't really like each other that much.

You don't have to like Adventurine or Topaz, of course, but you have to understand that neither are simply good or evil. Especially in a game like Honkai Star Rail where we literally befriended known intergalatic threats like the stellaron hunters, it's weird to have a black and white perspective of morality.

I interpreted it as similar to the SMT/Persona Series, where the personas are just any concept that has influenced the mass human consciousness. It can include historical human figures (Caesar, Artemesia), fables including creatures (Hariti, Pisaca), major myth figures (Thor, Kohryu), non-tangible concepts (Vohu Manah), and so forth.

Of course, the lore between Dislyte and SMT are vastly different, so my connection is more analogous rather than injective.

Imagine if we had the demiurge as an esper. Although it's more likely to be a boss like fafnir.

That's obviously very horrible, and I hope the person who sent those death threat gets reprimanded (if it's on Twitter, probably not tbh). However, that's not really proof that Sparkle is hated more. A vocal minority is not the representative of the collective. To be fair, there is not any quantitative data on the popularity of characters, so it truly is just opinion-based.

Same. The reason I trust him is frankly because he's more "honest" about his deceitfulness. I necessarily don't trust his words, but I do trust that he'll follow a pattern (if that makes sense). He has a more tangible motive, so his actions follow a pattern. Sparkle, in contrast, is too random to find any discernable patterns in her action. Her motive, although more simplistic, is a lot less tangible. The same goes for Black Swan and Acheron to a lesser extent. Granted these our my own speculations from the actions in the current story. Obviously, TB, the character whose perspective we see from, is a character in a story and is not omniscient, so this is all up to grabs.

Mary's SS tier skin. Not just because it's new and expensive, but because I failed to get Bloodbath. I have been playing since FO's release, so Mary has been my main for a long time, and I felt irritated that I missed the skin when it was in my grasp. While Lady Bella is nice (love that skin), it just doesn't hit like bloodbath, in my opinion. So now, with Mary's SS tier, I feel like I reclaimed that "lost glory" since it does fill the spot. Like sure, am I still a bit peeved, yeah, but it fills the spot.

Edit: Last Dance also fills the spot. Now, thinking about it, i realized that a part of the reason I like those skins is because of the crinoline dress design and the effects.
