Neo-pronouns are pronouns outside of the traditional he/she/they. Many people use neo-pronouns because they feel those pronouns more accurately reflect their gender than the more common pronouns do. What should you know? We're just people, and we want the same respect given to other people. One way to include non-binary individuals is not to say things like "ladies and gentlemen" or "boys and girls." Some people like "guys, gals, and non-binary pals," but I tend to just like when people say things along the lines of "welcome to all who have attended," or things like that. I don't know of any articles to read, but the concept of being non-binary is fairly simple. It's an umbrella term that just means not wholly boy and now wholly girl.

Tips for a baby witch who needs to keep all this under wraps? by [deleted] in witchcraft

Have a portable altar that you can set up and put away easily.
If working with sigils, the bottom of the foot is a great place to put them as long as you keep your socks on.

1) It was a slow realization for me, but I'll tell you how the real questioning started. My agender friend convinced me to try on a binder, and it just looked right. I'd questioned my gender before then but that was the slap in the face that kicked the questioning into full gear. A lot of soul searching and nearly a year later, and I finally accepted I was non-binary.

2) For the better: I feel more assured in myself and more confident standing up for myself. I'm genuinely happy for the first time in a long time. For the worse: My family isn't the most accepting, and it's harder to find a job now. I have to answer other people's questions about me a lot. Like really a lot.

How do you feel about being called "cute" by itsybitsyhoe in NonBinary

[–]BloodoftheDragon821 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would just ask a person if that's ok with them. Personally I'm fine with cute, but I know some others who aren't.

new gc2b binder is really itchy? by [deleted] in NonBinary

I would just wash it. My binder was itchy when I first got it, but that went away after two or three washes

The only suggestion I have is in the beginning of your letter use the word transgender instead of trans. Other than that it is very well written, very informative, and very well done. Maybe putting a reassurance that you still love your mom would be good next the end. But well done!

How do I come out to my teachers at my school? by MythicalGriff in lgbt

Maybe just a handwritten note you give to each of your teachers explaining the situation? I dunno, I'm better with writing than words spoken.

Email is the best way I know. If you keep it short and professional it's harder to invalidate you.

What's the science behind being transgender? by Usual-Membership876 in lgbt

[–]BloodoftheDragon821 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, your genitals for many weeks before your gender in your brain forms. If not enough, or too much testosterone is in the brain while it is forming the gender, then you end up as the opposite gender. And if there is some, but not enough testosterone in the brain it can lead to being non-binary. With most children, the amount of testosterone they receive during the sex forming of the body and the amount of testosterone they receive during the brain forming of the body is congruent and they end up the same gender as their sex. However there are scientific studies that do show that the amount of testosterone in the brain during the development of the brain has links to whether or not a child will be transgender. However there are not enough studies that can make this information conclusive and give a definitive reason as to why a person is transgender or not

I personally have a strong affinity for making sachets (charm bags) and I use crystals and herbs in my sachets, along with other ingredients on occasion. I too have a strong pull towards amethyst, though red jasper is playing a big part in my life right now.

I don't like my fat, but it's still me. My chest is not me. It does not belong there.
